G Talk

I am trying to install G talk so I can chat with a friend in Seattle. I am getting a lot of problems, down loading it.
Anyone have an idea of how and a good safe link. My antivirus software rejects a lot of the sites I have tried.

You can install PidGin chat client. It will allow you to chat with people using Goggle talk, AIM... After installing PidGin all you need is to add your Google account data. This is a well-known and trusted chat client software, so your anti-virus should not display any warnings.

Thanks Guys but we have managed to get Yaho messenger up and running so we can chat.

Will try PidGin as a back up if needed.
