Personal info... nono

I second what picaron said. Sometimes I'll give my Cell phone number. But only when I've had other dealings with the agency and I know they're ok. But I'd never give out other info. Not even my last name!

No. You shouldn't have to give more than your first name (my experience when dealing with agencies like Fantasme, Satin Dreams and Asservissante)

You may get asked for the full name under which you checked into the hotel, in that case, you can check in under an assumed name, for when the agency calls to verify.

Giving Out Personal Data to an Escort

There are different schools of thought on a guy giving out personal data to a lady. I know one lady in the USA who screens very very carefully. She has a day job and a career. And she entertains at her apartment. Her emails might come across as somewhat cold and aloof, because she maintains a high degree of brevity and will NEVER use a guy's name in her email messages. It's fair to say that she wants to ensure that the customer is not LE nor is he Jack The Ripper.

The details this lady sought are everything from employer name, job position, name/phone of receptionist, and home address and phone number. I felt I had nothing to hide. My mindset is that she's my friend and I'm her friend. Her code work for fee/donation is "tuition", by the way. She says to leave the tuition in an envelope on her kitchen counter as she lets you into her apartment. From there it's smooth sailing and GFE all the way. And afterwards, her emails are a bit more friendly and personable.

While this one lady is tremendous as far as customer focus and high mileage, I find it somewhat off-putting that she never says my name when I see her in person and she can in some ways be very emotionally distant in spite of being extremely acronym-intensive (including greek at no extra charge) in bed. It's like having an anonymous rendezvous in some ways. So I've given her less business over time. The top-notch Quebecoise escorts, by contrast, are usually super-personable in my opinion. So one thing I've learned about my sexuality/preferences is that I want a very warm and personable lady if I'm going to pursue an appointment (or "romantic rendezvous", as some HDH ladies like to call it). Thus I've become much more selective.

If the gal wants references or detailed personal information, it might boil down to whether you want to play by HER rules or not. Women have to be concerned about their safety and they call the shots here. If there was a LE sting conceivably, your name and personal information might end up on her computer or little black book, let's say. So there are some risks. My advice to you would be to look into whether her clients feel she is reputable and safeguards your privacy. Privacy is a two-way street in this hobby and in the case of the USA escort I mentioned, I certainly wouldn't reveal her real name or apartment location. Discretion is always the better part of valor.

Cheers,
Jim

I say, if the agency owner and ladies are willing to exchange their person info with you then you might give your personal info. If they don't want to give their person info (not just on the phone but on paper) then they don't trust you enough hence it is not a rocket science..
But there are some agencies and ladies I trust more than others :)

How does one check in under an assumed name when most if not all hotels ask you for a credit card or some sort of ID when you check in like a passport or a driver's license?

phantom roommate?

You might try telling the clerk that you have someone staying with you and leaving another name with the desk for the extra person. Most hotels don't charge extra for the second person, but some low end places do. The low end places, however, might just let you pay cash and use an assumed name.

I personally won't give my last name. If they insist, call another agency. I have never had a problem giving just my first name and room number, and in the few cases they asked for more, I refused, and they did business with me anyway.

I've been asked for my complete name with the hotel and room number by a SP. I asked for the reason my complete name was needed and she informed me that she wanted to verify that I was at the place that I mentioned and many hotel front desks won't transfer calls when the person calling doesn't have the person's complete name. This seemed like a valid and believable reason. After all, it would be silly for the SP to drive all the way to where-ever and take the elevator to the hotel room only to find out that someone else is in the stated room or the room is empty. I didn't have a problem giving my complete name since the SP that I was dealing with was well known and paying for sex is not illegal in Canada... neither is prostitution. The only thing that is illegal from my understanding is solicitation and living off the money from prostitution (i.e. pimping). For incalls, you can also get in trouble with being found in a bawdy house.

Coast to Coast!
I have nothing to hide, but I prefer to give just the minimal infos and nothing else. On another hand, why would I have to give all these details when I don't even know her real name?
