Dahlin does not speak French so if he is picked by Montreal he will have to learn it. May not be easy for the kid. I think Montreal traded Segachev for Drouin because Sergachev struggled with his French and Drouin was a good French player and basically a good young French player is better for Habs than a good young Russian.

Montréal would be over the moon to draft Dahlin and he does not have to speak French nor did Sergachev. I dont know where you got that...

Andrei Markov spent his entire NHL career with the habs and never spoke a word of french. Same with Alex Radulov, Chris Chelios, Chris Nilan, Rod Langway and hundreds of other habs from the past. Carey Price doesn't speak. Anti Niemi doesn't speak french. Neither do Charlie Lingren, Michael McCarron, Noah Julsen, Jeff Petry, Shea Webber, Alex Galchenyuk, Max Pacioretty or Nikita Sherback.
You guys are missing the point. An 18 year old kid in a French speaking city, how will he ever get laid speaking Swedish? What is he supposed to do, masturbate with his hockey stick every night? You guys are very cruel and have no concept of empathy for these hockey players alone in a foreign city who don't speak the language. Maybe he doesn't want to call up escorts. He is a hockey stud and wants to meet girls the old fashioned way. But how does he do that?

That's because I see escorts who speak English on long weekends. Dahlin is a Swedish kid. Escorts in Montreal do not speak Swedish and even if they did, he wants to meet girls at bars and restaurants. Your response is cruel and callous and highly insensitive to his social needs.

Francois Gagnon & Tony Marinaro were talking about this today and both agreed that in today's NHL the best player on any team should not be the goaltender. Same thing goes with the top-paid player. The margin between the best goaltenders today and the average ones is a very small one. And the margin is getting smaller and smaller. They both agreed that it would likely be a contract the organization will eventually regret.
