With two 50 goals seasons, Stéphane Richer was the last real goal scorer. Not sure if the 86 and 93 seasons team what you can call a real team, but they still manage to win the cup !Guy Lafleur was the last time the Habs had a real goal scorer, probably the last time they had a real team as well.
I wouldn’t call Richer a real goal scorer he played 7 seasons ( 8 if you include the one game) and had two seasons of 50 and 51 goals the rest were 20-31 not exactly a goal scoring machine. With two 50 goals seasons, Stéphane Richer was the last real goal scorer. Not sure if the 86 and 93 seasons team what you can call a real team, but they still manage to win the cup !
More words could be used. There is nobody on the Canadiens whom the Oilers would exchange for Draisaitl, Nurse or even Nugent-Hopkins. I can't even see anybody on Montreal worth exchanging for Yamamoto or Barrie. One word- McDavid. Edmonton has him and Montreal does not.
My own personal theory is that Bergevin walked in on Molson being blown in his office by 3 of James's girls at Euphoria. Bergevin's comment at that time was, "I did not see anything, and I hope you remember that when it comes time to discuss my contract's renewal, otherwise my memory of what I saw might, shall we say, improve."What I'm not sure of is how many times daily has Bergevin had to blow Molson to keep his job?
