If my memory is right, Lindgren played for the CH in 2016.

At one time Charlie Lingren was looked upon as possibly being heir apparent to Carey Price. There was all kinds of speculation going around at the time that Price could be traded & that Mtl wouldn’t re-sign him, etc. We learned years later that he was nearly traded to Tampa but that the Tampa owner nixed the deal at the last minute. When Price re- signed long term it was evident that there was no longer a future for Lingren with the Habs so he moved on & ended up in St-Louis if i remember correctly. He never came close to ever reaching his full potentially & has had pretty much a journeyman’s career. When Thompson went down to injury a couple of months ago he was replaced by Lingren as the team’s starting goalie & had absolutely brutal stats during hos absence which were covered up by the fact the team was winning & scoring a lot of goals while Ovechkin was chasing Gretzky’s record.

Anyways i doubt the oft-injured Thompson will be back in this series. His knee injury looked very serious. As for Monty it looked like he may have pulled a hamstring. He’ll likely miss at least a couple of games. Now we realize it’s unfortunately that the habs didnt acquire a veteran backup goalie at the deadline. It looks like Cayden Primeau will now be required to backup Dobes.

Anderson fined $5000
If you want my opinion the referee should be fined $5000 for doing a piss poor job breaking up that fight. It looked like a 3 way fight between Anderson, Wilson and the ref.

I agree with your assessment. Plus it wouldn’t have escalated to that point had that fucking bench door been closed as it was supposed to! And it’s Anderson who got pushed into the bench area so what was he supposed to do when it seems he has to defend himself not only against Wilson but also the linesman! Lol

Hard to believe that Thompson is between the pipes tonight. This is incredible, really. When he came out in the last game he looked like a guy whose leg would need to be amputated! Great game so far but i’m not impressed with the officiating!
