I was hoping that Montreal would fight back and stop allowing bullies to be bullies, but that hit by Tom Wilson showed me that nobody on Montreal will stand up to him. He had 6 hits for the game and did the punishing that needed to be done. Montreal remains a bullied team. They are not going to win until they stand up to and punch the bully in the face.

I wrote my nepfew that the HABS have too many small players.
Another proof tonight.

I won’t use the poor refreeing as an excuse. That’s not why the habs lost. They were simply beaten by a better team. More skill, more toughness, more size & better goaltending. The habs were also outshot for the entire evening. They had a lead going into the third period yet couldn’t protect that lead. Tom Wilson was the key difference maker tonight & the key play occurred when he destroyed Alex Carrier with that devastating hit which led to the game’s most important goal. Mike Matheson easily played his best game tonight. Lane Hutson may have played his worse game & he’d be the first one to admit it. I really liked Arber Xekaj’s game tonight & although he took a bad penalty that call was a very questionable one. Dobes was okay but not great. Sam Montembault’s presence was greatly missed tonight. He could have been a difference maker. Anyways the habs are still in it & there’s no reason to think that they can’t win next Wednesday’s game in Washington.

Dobes had nothing to do with the lost. He stole a goal to Oveshkin at the start of the game and been badlucky on some strange rebounds.

The kids need to adapt. Losing Carrier was hard for them to get around. Also, who removes a goalie when theres 2.5-3 min left and they don't have posession ? JFC
But these series were a huge learning experience. Hutson is getting much quicker out of the corners and evading hits. So much good just not enough.

The refering is worst than ever, the league had to pull out 2 referies in the first games because it was a shame. Now I’m pretty sure they would pull more out but they dont have the resources to do so. So they have to wait for the next round, as it would naturally eliminate 4 of them.

I agree, the right move would have been to unleash the beast with a clear mission: take Wilson out of the game! No matter what the consequences, the team will handle whatever fine that comes with it. But MSL doesnt play that way, he does not understand this.

Quenneville, Keanne, Torts and most of the old fashion coaches would have done it because what we see is old fashion playoffs with old fashion refering!
