I agree that Demidov needs to shoot more. Cole Caufield needs to give himself better angles when he shoots hos one-timers. When you’re even with the goal line when you shoot rarely does the puck go in against a good goaltender who covers his angles well. And Lane Hutson needs to shoot more. He opts to pass 90% of the time & everyone knows it. The Habs would benefit having a big shot off the point. That’s the only thing missing from Hutson’s arsenal. Dobes has been great so far & tue score would be a few goals higher were it not for him.

The reality is he doesnt have any shot, he needs to get strenght and practice shooting.
I agree. But other powerplay QBs like Cale Makar & Quinn Hughes don’t have much of a shot either but they still take shots at the net hoping for a deflection or rebound. Same thing with Mitch Marner or Morgan Rieilly in Toronto. They run the #1 & #2 PP for Toronto, both don’t have much of a shot but still successfully get pucks to the net. An effective shot from the net doesn’t necessarily have to be a booming slap shot. An effective & precise wrist shot can often be as lethal (like Makar’s & Hughes’) on a powerplay.

Martin St-Louis finaliste pour le Jack Adams. Je ne crois pas qu'il va le gagner, mais c'est plaisant pareil pour lui.
All are first time finalists!

Winning that trophy is often the kiss of death. Rick Tochett won it last year. I’m not surprised that Carbury & Arniel were nominated. They’re teams improved & had great seasons. St-Louis I’m somewhat surprised mostly because some questionable coaching decisions he made during the first half of the season are the main reason why they end up having to wait until the end of the season to find out they were in. But that’s up for debate. The coach i would have nomimated instead? Jim Montgomery. What he did once he joined the Blues after getting unfairly fired in Boston was simply incredible! This team came out of nowhere to become a playoff team who may end up upsetting the top team in the West & the likely winner of the Vezina trophy!
