Go Habs Go!

1 but à la fois!

It's doable!

Another Huge win after a rocky start!

Dobes was dialed in.

Cole scored again, 44.

Keep it up!

Dont forget that Caufield has no goal in empty nets while MacKinon has at least 5 !

[Cap'tain Fantastic]

Cole 46 buts (2e NHL)

Suzuki 91 points (7e NHL)

Not too shabby!

[Cap'tain Fantastic]

Go Habs Go!

Another huge, huge game tonight VS Tampa.

Go win that thing boys!

Most recent news, Alexandre Carrier will miss the end of the season and probably the first round of post season games.

Huge win over EC leading TB.

47 goals for Caulfield. Now needs 3 more goals in 8 games - doable!!!!!!!!!

I just read that Cole Caulfield is the fastest Hab to the 300 career point mark (in 360 games) since Mark Recchi in 1998. Anyone remember him? Recchi would finish his career with 1,533 points, a shitload more than I would have guessed.

You guys may be unaware that while in college for the University of Wisconsin, Cole Caulfield won the Hobey Baker award as the most outstanding American college player. He is one of two U of Wisconsin players to ever win this prestigious award, the other being Blake Geoffrion (grandson of Habs great Bernie "Boom Boom" Geoffrion) who was forced to retire at age 25 due to a skull fracture. Here both players pose with their awards:

I remember well. The way he played at Uni and this award announced great things to come. He played a couple of games with Laval that year and got the call from the big club, joined them for the end of season and the playoffs. Started to score right away, and things improved each year for him. Crazy that he's now flirting with 50 only five years later.

New York Times/Athletic: Habs are Stanley Cup Threat, On Cusp Of Something Special

Is the Canadiens’ core group suddenly Stanley Cup contender-worthy?

There’s still work to be done around the edges, but the Canadiens are on the cusp of something special. Plus: big names and soaring offense.

49! Not only uncrustable, unstoppable!
It’s unbelievable to see how many very good scoring chances he gets. Without any doubt an elite player.
He get feed by Suzuki and Slaf and he generates sometimes his own chances.
Those 3 guys aren’t at their ceiling yet…
Are we about to revive some kind of a dominant trio like Lemaire-Shutt-Lafleur?
A big goalie who wins every game,
Hutson chasing Robinson’s offensives record,
A very good second trio,
A third one custom built for the series,
Depth in both offense and defensive units.
I’m about to pronounce the word in C…

It just amplifies the bone headed decision by Team USA hockey coach Mike Sullivan and GM Bill Guerin not to have selected Caulfield to Team USA!
Probably due to the fact that you have 3 MASS /Boston guys (Sullivan, Guerin and Tortorella) that still can't get over the humiliation the HABS gave the Bruins in the 1971 playoffs!

Caulfield's 2 goals last night including the game winner late in the 3rd period against the Rangers and Team USA coach Mike Sullivan was added motivation and a message to Sullivan for snubbing him on Team USA...and that Sullivan can stick his Team USA selections up his ass!

Bravo Caulfield!

In case you forgot Team USA won without Caulfield! Although I agree he should have been on the team.

As I mentioned previously I know someone who played college hockey with Caulfield and he said you have no clue or appreciation of the power of his shot until you see it in person. Here is another example of that:
