Don't buy coins now. There is a huge (up to 7%) markup on coins due to shortages. You're going to get screwed, and not in the good way.

If you're really bullish on gold, you could buy the HGU ETF in Canadian dollars, or the GLD ETF in US$.

If you absolutely wants coins, call around to a few jewelry shops and bring a calculator with today's gold price to be able to convert price/ounce to price/grams. At least you'll know what the markup is.
