I was just reading his Bio. The guy was a tough pilot during the Korean War returning to base twice with 250 holes in his jet interceptor. And guess who he flew with? Ted Williams of all people, with Ted being described as Glenn's wingman. Glenn was a man of great courage and CLASS, the kind of unassuming "can do" American hero that seems to be an endangered species these days.
