I read this article about a gay dating app called Grindr which I never heard of much less used (I am not gay), but this lawsuit raises a much broader question of whether any dating website (including ones like Seeking Arrangement that some of us use) are liable for a member's criminal actions and posts:

If the Courts do not throw out such lawsuits, seems to me that membership fees will go up, up, and away and once again a rotten apple will be allowed to spoil the whole barrel.

Grindr is just a platform that brings people together. The culprit is that homo who is trying to get back at the other homo. The "victimized" homo should be going after the "evil" homo yet given that there is no money in going after "evil" homo Grindr is going to take the fall.

I am still laughing after reading that story.
