Crack driving families from Chomedey street
Last time I checked crack is smoked, not shot up. Must be a Laval thing.
Laval police have been trying to put an end to the drug and prostitution problem in the area around 80th Ave. and Cure Labelle Blvd., but without much success, Constable Nathalie Lorrain said yesterday.
Police have shut at least four crack houses in the area since last year, including one closed last month, she said. But it doesn't take long before a new one starts up, Lorrain said. "It's basically always the same girls and mainly the same dealers," she said.
Arresting the prostitutes does not work, because they're soon back on the street, Lorrain said.
"It's like a vicious circle. They shoot up to do prostitution, and they do prostitution to get the money to shoot (up)."
