Hobbying in the USA

How risky is it to hobby in the USA? Particularly using in-calls. My concern is being set up for a sting.

I have never done this there and know that the risks vary from state to state.

So what are your thoughts? Are the risks high? Do any of you do it on a regular basis? Which are the 'safest' states and which are the riskiest?

Also, what is a reliable website to use for reviews?

Thanks

This is a totally unanswerable question unless you specify the location, the level at which you are hobbying at, and the business. Even a state by state analysis is useless. Stings usually get set up by local LE, not the State Police, so you are at the mercy of the municipal LE and the politics of that particular town. If you don't know what the politics are in that town, you assume the risk.

It is generally a bad idea to be hobbying within a month of municipal elections because there are crackdowns and sweeps to make elected officials look like law-enforcers. They pick on easy targets: usually SWs and their clients are the easiest targets.

At the higher end of the hobbying spectrum business that operate incalls discreetly can do so for many years and never be touched by LE. The main things they focus on are: discreet location in a commercial area with a landlord willing to bend rules for steady rents, and other tenants who either operate similar or quasi-legal, borderline legitimate businesses, or else they don't care; and donations to police charities which are a legal form of bribing LE. Doing these things can create long term immunity to getting busted, and the smarter business owners figure these things out. Discretion and low profile are very important, and these businesses erect models that build through word of mouth and referrals. You need to know whether you are dealing with such a business or not. There are some businesses operating incall MPs with extras in NYC, that have been in business 10 plus years and never got busted because they did all these things. The landlord willing to bend rules is the most important key, but from what one incall MP business owner told me, the other side of that equation is that the landlord that bends rules ain't going to come running to fix the AC when its broke. So the incall tenant needs to be handy or have their own person on staff who is a fix-it person.

Reliable websites that tell you about dangers are usually the local ones. In the NYC area for example, it would be BestGFE.com. Usually when there are stings in New Jersey or CT that is the place where you will find out.

Most stings happen with hotel incalls, because incalls operating there are easier sting targets. There was a sting in Paramus NJ last year and 3 operations were busted, all operating incalls in hotels. The problem is relying on young girls to behave themselves in their hotel room, not to smoke pot, not to play loud music or make noise, and not fight with a client or create a disturbance that draws attention to themselves. If you draw the attention of hotel guests to yourself, a complaint gets made, and then every hotel has surveillance video so at that point you are dead meat. First thing cops will do is grab the hotel's videotapes.

I would not chance it in the U.S. for a couple of reasons. First the price of an encounter is way out of line with what we are used to here in Montreal, second, the laws are much stricter in the U.S. I would want to end up in a U.S. jain for solicitation, or possibly solicitation of a minor.......you never know whats waiting for you behind door number 1

Yes Patron, I agree. The problem in the USA is the $$$ and getting the indy to show up for her appointment she agreed to.

Stay away from Back Page.

One agency owner in Greenville NC told me that she put the most faith in TER reviews. She said 1.) stay off BackPage and 2.) look for a girl with at least three reviews. 3.) Make sure the girl has a website. The LE will not go through all the trouble to create a fake website. She has been in business for years and has not got busted. So I am passing this info on.

I dodn't know this about Arizona.

Sex is evil.

Thanks to all for your thorough answers. Food for thought indeed.

Just to give a bit more info, I'm headed for a small college town in Georgia. I happened to be perusing TER and found 4 reviews of a girl, all favorable. She offers incall only but I don't know if its a motel or her own place. Nor do I know any prices at this point but am aware they would be higher than here. She advertises on backpage but does have her own webpage as well. Maybe I'll contact her and she if she does outcalls.

Probably safe. Usually when they do in-call in the USA girls will rent a room on Hotwire or something like this. One girl in Dallas (Pistol Marks) shares her room with her sister. I did two in-calls in Dallas/Ft Worth last year and one was the Ritz Carleton and the other was a full-scale Marriott. Both better rooms then the room I was staying in at the time.

Be careful in small towns.

Definitely be careful with Backpage. When I was in Vegas I met a guy who turned out to be a cop who works in prostitution. (Ironic i know, lol!) He specifically mentioned that they used Backpage in his work.

I indulged (or tried to) only once in the US. The provider and the agency was well reviewed on TER. The agency would not proceed unless they had all my personal and professional information. That included where I worked, my job title...etc. They say its for a background check and they don't keep the information. Personally I haven't heard of any operation that got busted where the 'client list' was not used as leverage with prosecutors. So when the time arrived, I went to the hotel room, but was very nervous about the whole arrangement and nothing happened.

In Montreal I don't mind providing a reference or my real name, but they never ask anything beyond that. I have had indies, on our first meeting, call me on hotel phone after I send them the room number. Most hotels won't connect you to a person's room phone unless you have their full name, so I figured it was a way of verifying I was who I said I was and that I was in fact in my room.

Patron - you have a good point. I am most vulnerable to doing something stupid after I am stood-up. In the USA I am stood up by an Indy nearly half the time it seems. Then I start surfing back-page.

I am going to New York City tomorrow night to meet with a college girl I met via backpage. She actually has a great review on TER from a guy who has authored tons of reviews of girls at different places. So he is a bona fide legit reviewer and not a self poster. TER enables easy access to the review history.

I have corresponded with this lady a number of times as we missed each other each of the last 2 times I was in NYC. It looks like it will finally happen tomorrow night. She has a private studio in midtown. has her own phone which she answers and email. Her pics look good. I am taking the chance based on the TER review.

Although when I saw her pics on BP they had the air of being real, there are all kind of fake pics on backpage. You have to search Google Images or Tineye to determine if they are fakes. Some are obvious, some less than obvious.

Patron, that is all true. The cop was a dummy. Also all the well run ops in NYC expect you to get naked immediately and if you don't they will not do a thing. I once met an escort at a Boston hotel who came in my room and would not do a thing until I touched her tit. She asked me to touch her tit by pointing at it and asking, "touch me there." Cops in Boston are not allowed to touch tit or pussy in undercover ops so it is a quick weedout process.

EagerBeaver, I've read that about the agencies in NYC, either that or you have to drop your pants in front of one of the ladies. Is that the only LE check that they do, or do they do this on top of something else?

The places I have been to you basically tell you to get comfortable, meaning get undressed, and if you do not do that and instead try to chat with the girl, she will again request that you get undressed. One girl even said to me, "I want to see penis and then we will talk."

A lot of indies and MPs screen and ask for references before they will even book you in. I know a few indies who want work telephone numbers. There is some level of screening at a lot of places, but it varies. The higher end and more discreet places that never get busted ask for more info.

My favorite MP in NYC has a private members only passworded website and it is sort of run like 2214 in Montreal. You need to be referred, and they keep track of members by codes which are a combination of a name and a date. I just referred a friend to the place and they would not book him until he gave them my code. I ended up emailing the owner with my code and told her he was my friend and everything was kosher after that. The owner is a very sharp woman, she usually meets new clients and asks a few questions. She runs a tight ship and bad clients and poor-booking ladies are shown the door quickly and with little fanfare and drama.

Members are kept track of on computer by means of these meaningless codes. Sort of like Spitzer was "Client 9." It prevents any infiltration by cops. Girls are asked to give letter grades to clients and members are told if a lady for whatever reason does not want them to book her again.

Don't do it in Hawaii since the LE's can have sex with the SP's (or maybe even with Hobbyists -- yeah, right) while they are engaged in sting operations.

Find an excuse (which shouldn't be that difficult) to travel to Canada (particularly Montreal) or Europe (like Amsterdam, Germany, etc.) and have as much fun as your budget allows, free from the fear of LE's.

As many of us who do this in the US and in Canada point out, the risk of arrest in the US is zero if a person does research and follows the system. The reason to not hobby in the US is the high cost for good services, not worries about law enforcement. If you try to get low prices in the US, there are plenty of worries about law enforcement, bad services, and skanky girls.

Bloody good insights. :thumb:

I also understand LE's snoop around in chat forums like this. ;) Ironically, a US secrete service agent got fired because he was exposed for being too cheap to pay a hooker full price in Latin America
