Hier a la station Assomption j'ai vu un homme qui venait de se faire poignarder au cou par un jeune voyou, le sang coulait profusion, une vraie vision d'horreur ca m'a secoué pas mal je croyais que j'allais le voir mourir sous mes yeux, heureusement les ambulanciers sont arrivés a temps. Une agression purement gratuite ca me révolte encore.

And... Montreal Nord, NDG, Cote-des-neiges... and even le vieux (old montreal) to name a few.

Metro l'Assumption is in the Mercier - Longue Pointe area.
Without getting too specific, Maisonneuve is west of the railway tracks that run north/south east of Viau until roughly Bourbonniere, between the river and Sherbrooke/Rachel
Hochelaga is roughly between Bourbonniere and the railway tracks that run north/south west of Moreau and various small streets, between the river and Sherbrooke/Rachel.
West of the tracks you have Ville Marie.
Not that it matters to the person that was stabbed but people tend to interchange the areas and lump all of them together.
