Hotel Help

Hey guys,

I am coming to Montreal Thursday for a day or two. I don't really know the city well. Can you recommend a hotel near a SC for some evening entertainment? I'm looking for something decent, but it doesn't need to be too fancy... I was just looking at the Hotel du Fort on Ste-Catherine. Would that do it?

Admittedly, I haven't read that entire thread, but I don't think the information I am looking for is there. The issue isn't booking a hotel... the issue is booking a hotel within stumbling distance of a Peeler Palace. Other than Frontiere and Hilltop, I don't know where they are in Montreal...

But I did search again and found an old thread started by me.. where I asked the same question! Duh... I couldn't remember where I stayed last time... F*ck this getting senile sucks!

I'll just go back to packing now...

The Best Western Europa and Novotel may not be the nicest hotels DT but they are on the cheap end and close to the St. Catherine strip where most of the DT SCs are including Club Downtown, Super Sexe, Gentlemen's Choice, and Chez Paree. The Hyatt is near Cleopatras. They're all walking distance in the Summer and a $6 cab ride in the winter. Hope that helps. I don't know one from the other, and a trip to the Club is just for the "pre-game" show. I will be enjoying the company of a lady or two that evening, so I just need to kill a little time, not necessarily looking for any special attention at a club...

The famous 'Chez Paree' is located just a few steps away from the Sheraton Center (on Rene Levesque). Just a bit further is Club Downtown & a whole bunch of others where 'contact' dances are offered. The Best Western Europa, Novotel, Hotel de la Montagne & the Loews Vogue are also hotels located close to the action.
