TBH, even if I won a huge amount of money where working would be pointless, I still would not quit my job, rather I'd get my dream cars, buy a nice house with the fancy stuff, and continue working. With the remaining money I'd probably help out some buddies and family.

at least 5M. that'd be 100k per year for the next 50 years if we don't take into account interest. enough to travel and whatnot. i don't care about fancy cars, big houses or fancy stuff. i only care about living and experiencing so travelling would be it. that and food

so a 100k per year to travel (3 to 5 1 month trips) and pay bills, seems reasonable

The average person makes around 2 Million $ during their working life so 5 Million should be more than enough for a decent, comfortable lifestyle.

But if you want to live like a rockstar its incredible how fast money can evaporate.

I would had Aka that depending on where you live, that 2 millions per carreer in average is usually cut in 2 because of the taxes. Canadian rules still consider lottery gain as "non imposable". For, for me, a lottery gain of 1 M$ ( equivalent to a salary of 2M$ ) with no taxes to pay, Im leaving!!!
