Mathematically, that may be the numbers, but in any REAL any business.
- You are not accounting for the fact that all businesses have a busy peak time and slow times.
Like resto's and bars are busy Thurs-Sat and Sun-Wed not so much.
- You are not discounting for holidays, vacations or sick time. Or cancels and bad weather.
- Physically, do you think it's really possible? Probably not.
- You are also not accounting for business overhead (pun intended)

OK. On the other hand.
- Why does she have her Rules? Why does a dog lick his own balls? You know the answer.
- If she is good at it, (which she obviously IS), all the more power to her.
- She obviously must have some special skills. Specialty skills pay extra.
- Dealing in volume & low price. It makes places like Walmart.

Bottom line.
There are a lot of "jobs" (no pun intended) that other people don't want to do to make a living, but there are some who willing to make a decent financial living from it. And if the job requires special skills... Bonus. All the more power to them.

Oh... forgot to mention one important thing, the risks involved.

I sort of suspect that she probably makes about 10 - 15% of what you are estimating. There is no way she can keep up the pace you are suggesting.

Of course I don't believe her. I gave more reason why it was NOT feasible for her to earn $600K/yr. Ricky's post was purely hypothetical.

But think about this.

If she can book at one-fifth of the time that earns $600K/yr, that's $120K.
At one-forth, that's $150K/yr.
At one-third, that's $200K/yr.
Not at bad yearly income, eh?

Oh, did i mention that's would be all CASH, non traceable income. Let's back this up even one step further. I don't know what the tax rate in Canada is to net (after tax income) $150K/yr, but in let's low-ball it at 33%.

This means that for booking one-fifth of the optimal time earns an income, $125K, is equivalent to yearly income of $179.1K pre-tax. In other words, almost $180 gross income before taxes. If the tax rate is higher than 1/3 then the gross income would even be higher. For example, if the tax rate is 40% it would be like making $200K/yr before taxes.

Not bad, now that's a skilled worker. Oh yes, and the hours? I believe Ricky's projection was based on 10 hours a day for 5 days a week. Assuming his math is correct, she has to work 2 hours a day for 5 days a week to earn $180K/year.

My disclaimer. This is all based on the fact that Ricky's calculated income of $600K/year. Didn't actually bother to check this and assumed that he is correct. Hell, I assume my math is correct as well.

True or not, it sounds like a situation I read about a prostitute at Pearl Harbor during WWII. The Navy used the state of Marshall Law to impose a regulation fixing the price of FS on the ladies so they would not profit excessively. One lady decided since she couldn't raise rates above a few dollars she would limit the time per client to a few minutes.
