Hotel guests evacuated due to fire

About 1000 guests of the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Ste. Catherine St. downtown were evacuated early Friday after a fire broke out on the fourth floor. The fire started in a garbage container next to the hotel's bar about 4 a.m. Smoke spread rapidly throughout the building, firefighters said.

Guests were evacuated as a preventive measure, but no one was hurt and all were able to return to their rooms about an hour later. Damages were limited to the bar and the roof, firefighters said.

Glad I was leaving anyway

Had my alarm set for 5 A.M. to leave the Hyatt at 5:45 to get to the airport. Didn't think my alarm was as loud as what woke me up. Then I heard the announcement. An hour before I wanted to get up. Fortunately all I had was a carry on and it was all packed. No shower though. Decided that I might not get back in anyway so took a cab to the airport. Review to come on Marie-Eve and Lucia from Asservissante. Glad it was minor damage. Even though I was unable to upgrade my Priceline room from a low floor double, it was a nice place to stay.

Actually, there was a second fire at the Hyatt, in my room today around noontime. Michelle of Montreal Sex City started it, stoked in the inferno, then quenched it like the incredible trooper she is. One victim...me...was badly mauled. But I am recovering slowly. Unfortunately for her next victim, I seriously doubt the fire in Michelle can ever be stopped.

Well, there was another fire that started exactly 24 hours after after the last and in the same room. This time a Spanish-eyed beauty was the spark. It was another great conflagration of a different sort...slower burning, but equally as engulfing and dangerous. I really developed a very deep appreciation for the Spanish (and French) TONGUE. It was like trying to hold on to a slippery darting viper. I swear they should create an Olympic event just for her particular talent..
