We all know that the customer has to be showered and clean which is a good thing.

I would like to know how SP especially the massage providers do to keep cleanliness.
Or am I lying down on the c*m of the person who arrived before me ?
Is it polite to ask questions on hygiene practices of an SP. Or should I carry around my own table to SP location?

A long time ago when I visited MPs, they had disposable paper-like bed sheets. If I had a doubt, I would ask that they change it in front of me. I've done the same in incall agencies (cotton bed sheets). Nothing wrong with that. Along the same lines, I always bring my own towel. It's a good idea because some infections are indeed transmitted through bed sheets and towels.

Yes, thanks.
I went to an Arab country where they used the disposable sheets to on top of the massage mattress. In this spa, which was a luxury spa they had comfortable floor mattresses. Which are much wider than a table, which gives you more room for wrestling.

I think it’s a good idea. Just be aware that it will be on your time if the person has to change sheets or clean something at your request…

You don't need to change the sheet . It is a disposable sheet you place on the massage table, and throw it after the session . It's mandatory in some countries for spa to do this. You can get 40 sheets for 14 Dollars. I highly recommend to use on shared tables. Unless you are okay with lying on a surface where the guy b4 you would have come* .

Thank you for this timely topic. I visit massage parlours and often wonder that.

Last fall, after visiting a massage parlour, I came down with an eye infection. While I cannot prove that it was a result of being face down on the massage table and possibly infected linen, it remains possible the massage table linen was not clean.

At the time, I was having a furnace removed from my house, and that is another possibility. Having said that, I often wonder about linen in massage parlours and cleanliness.

I've worked at MP's and we had to clean the room after every client. The bedsheets and towels are changed every time and the disposable sheet is added and thrown away later. The massage tables are also washed, and so is the shower. If somebody hasn't cleaned the room the person who is using the room later will definitely notice and get upset. Nobody wants to lie down on filthy bedsheets and nobody wants to find hair in the shower.. I think it's fine to bring your own towel if you're worried but it's mandatory to change them and there is often a large quantity of bedsheets and disposable sheets and towels at our disposal near the rooms.

I don't want to scare you guys, but MPs are a breeding ground for bacteria. Anyone with a weakened immune system should avoid them. The skins host a variety of bacteria, some harmless, some not. I can guarantee you that every surface (door handles at first) is contaminated. Masseuses are then going to vigorously rub their
hands on your skin, having just touched the handle (and other stuff). Handwashing in the room prior to massage should be the norm (showering too, if B2B is going to be performed ). I have only seen handwashing in the room at one MP in Toronto back in the day.
I once developed folliculitis, a minor but annoying skin infection, following a visit. I then stopped visiting these establishments. The bacteria that causes folliculitis (staph. aureus) is the same that can cause painful boils and abscesses.

Professional massage therapists are trained in infection prevention practices. Erotic masseuses, well, what do you think.

My response doesn’t apply to strictly massage parlours, could be for SPs

Massage parlours are not medical establishments so obviously nobody is trained for very very specific hygiene practice, but it's not like masseuses are performing surgeries on clients... However I'm not going to pretend that places like this are always extremely clean, and it's not necessarily the masseuse's fault, but one place I worked at clearly lacked cleaning staff.. Some places are probably better than others

I want to remind everyone to take a shower at least 30min before an appointment. It's crazy that I need to do a thread about this when it should be obvious.

In the past 2 weeks, I left 3 appointements after 5min because the clients didnt shower. Trust me, we know when you didnt; when the entire bath/shower is completely dry as well as the towels. And if I confront you and you say: Oh ok Im gonna take a shower now then...Dont bother. The disrespect and lack of hygiene is enough for me to leave.

Tonight, I knew one of my client didnt shower. I confronted him. He told me casually that he took his shower at 3pm. It was 10:30. His shower was 7,5 hours ago!! He was confused when I said that he should be freshly clean! He didnt think that it was a problem. This happens way too often! Its disgusting and so disrespectful.

Be respectful and hygienic please; it's not like it's a crazy request. It's the bare minimum.

I agree with you 100%, and I always shower before you arrive, for myself and for you. But remember, a coin has 2 sides, I have been with SPs who were not freshly showered and were offended when I asked to shower. And I know a shower is sometimes a personal space kind of thing for some, but even more offended when I offer to shower with them to help out a little, plus its nice to share a shower.
I have had ladies leave my place without showering, now this concerns me also.

But I agree with you and feel for you and others with this form of disrespect.

I have to say, we don't seem to have this issue with the Asian ladies, they make sure you are squeaky clean in every crevice before the action starts.

And I know, its not your job to make sure we are clean, after all, we are grown men (some of us)and should know better and have the decency to be clean and smelling nice for all the ladies. In a perfect world, we would not be having such discussions.

I feel like having a shower now. I feel dirty.
