In some jurisdictions (not Canada, but Canadians can buy tickets in these jurisdictions), lottery winners can be anonymous.

If you won and could be anonymous, would you be anonymous?

I guess you mean winning a significant amount... not just a free ticket. Below 1 million is not so much, so I would keep it low profile. From 1 to 5 millions and over I would help my children and give to charities (education, hospitals, organisms helping people in difficulty).

For sure I'd be anonymous. Winning a big lottery brings out the worst in everyone.

Lol, where I'm from, people hardly care if you're around 1 million. From 1 to 5 is hardly enough to give to charity. You can talk about your millions, but I think most people would be like "whatever."

Is it a big deal in Montreal? Will I get the attention of local ladies with such modest sums?

I would absolutely keep it to myself. Once the word gets out, your a target. Relatives, friends, and acquaintances will come out of nowhere and start hitting you up for money. Not to mention the criminal element factor as well

Bro, where I'm from people hardly care if you're around 100 million. 100 to 500 is basically nothing - chump change, really. Maybe it's a big deal elsewhere though, not sure.

I knew a guy that won big money, all his friends and family knew. He moved to a better part of town, he was bothered by people he knew, people he barely knew and people that did not know him at all. The moved up north, they still bothered him. He moved to Florida and it was quieter but some people still bothered him.

Not so long ago I won a good amount of money. In my experience, I realized that the main thing to choose a good casino. Because many casinos just cheat their customers, I often came across the fraud. Personally, I trust the casino MGM99WIN. I sometimes play when there is free time. This site was once shown to me by a colleague. I like that it has a very nice interface and easy payment.
Good luck everyone!

A long time ago there was this guy names Lavigeur that won big in Montreal. I understand that in the end he was back living near the Jacques Cartier bridge because he got bad advice and handed out so much money to other people.
