I went for my routine testing this week and once again I was extremely impressed by this clinic. I had an early morning appointment and my wait time to see my doctor was less than 5 minutes. My doctor is just amazing. Personable, respectful, non-judgemental. I never expected that as a sex worker I would be treated with so much respect and decency.

I highly recommend this clinic, especially to other sex workers who are looking for a sex-worker friendly environment for their routine care. I can't say enough about the quality of care they provide.

Totally, sadly my nice lady doctor that I was seeing since I started as Lily left so now I have to see a new one next time...
Only thing embarrassing is that instead of calling numbers they call the name, usually I would be all about personalization but since I am not really Lily...but that's the only bemol...

Clinique lactuel is run by some absolute stellar physicians. Both this clinique and Clinique du Quartier Latin down on Rene-Levesque are specializing in MTS and HIV/AIDS related patient, for many years. It is well known within the healthcare world that these physicians (many of them are gay) are the best of the crop, both in their practice and on the human side.

It's true. They call us by our last names. Can you imagine the look on the youngsters/hipsters in the waiting room when they called out Mr. grinder. Joking aside, if you take your appointment immediately after lunch, you will be the only soul in the place.

How do you get to schedule an appointment with a doctor, usually they put me with a nurse.

However, this Clinic is the best, very professional but will cost some money.
The best time to take an appointment is at 12:30 during lunch, very few to no one there.

And did they call you by tonnom?

Apologies. Could not resist.

There has apparently been an exode of doctors from l'Actuel to the Clinique in Quartier Latin this summer. On my visit right after this event, I have kindly been asked if I wanted to follow my doctor to the other clinic, or continue with someone else at l'Actuel. I decided to stay.

I know why. But be assured, both of these 2 clinics are still top notch with still the best physicians in montreal.

How does it work if you're not from Quebec and want to attend one of those clinics? Do you pay out of your own pocket?

For this clinique you will have to call them. They are not a fully private clinic so for non resident cost might be high.

Clinique 24/7 on Mont-Royal is fully private. Could be wrong but I do think they will charge you the same as for Quebec resident. Basic test starts at 200 up to full test fast results (24h) at 320. Do not pee 2h prior to testing!

You can also go to a CLSC and see a Dr. have a test and it is covered by medicare. The results are a little slower but clinique actuel charges over $300 for a test

That is what I do. Big CLSC up on the north shore. Longuest I have waited when you pre-book is 10 minutes. But the results is 7-10 days.

When I got a scare I went to 24/7 and paid 275 for complete test with 24h results.
