I am part of a committee that will be publishing a guide/pamphlet/booklet for SP's and their clients. So if anybody has any suggestions or ideas or questions that they think should be included let me know. This is the first time that such a thing will be produced specifically for clients to read. I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this.

CAA diamond rating system for SPs

Your project sounds quite interesteing, will it have a rating system like Michelin has for resturants or will it be like a Better Business Bureau for SPs?

Our web research came up with perkel's page as well as :
www.pleasure.co.nz
www.sfc.org.uk/docs/protips.htm
www.bullymag.com
www.equineblue.co.uk
www.sweat.org
to name a few.

We were thinking of putting in a section on the proper use of a condom (do you always check the expiry date & make sure their is air in the pkg?), what to do when the condom breaks, top 10 questions sp's are asked, (so ask away) how to prepare for a date(perkels page is very good for this one)and perhaps in toss some good quotes such as: "safe, sane and consensual" and "If you wont respect your limits, who will?"
We wont put in any ratings or advertise any sp's as it is a government funded project.

Elf> cute answer, but as an experienced hobbiest then you especially should know what kind of info needs to be there, I am looking for feedback from the clients point-of-view, we have plenty of feedback from SP's.

it is a guide for clients and their partners aimed at safety and std prevention. Produced by Stella. I forgot which gvt agency is footing the bill.

Ronnie

BTW, what questions did you have that you found answers for here?

This is the kind of feedback I am looking for!!!!!

We at Stella also agree that the focus is too narrow which is why we are expanding it to become more of a guide in general.

What exactly would you like to see about SP-client etiquette, the business side of the relationship, etc. ? We meet again tomorrow night and I would love to bring your ideas to the table.

To answer your question: most STD's are not transmitted through the mouth and the saliva alone does not carry the HIV virus. That said, if she has a sore throat avoid anything bareback, a cold sore, canker sore, cut, bit her lip, bit her tongue, severly chapped lips again nothing bareback. So it is up to you, are you going to ask about her health and if she perhaps bit her tongue recently?

It is up to both sp's and clients to stop the spread of std's through honesty, care, communication and regular checkups.

One topic I have wondered about and considered starting a thread on it is continuing education for young SPs breaking in to the business. Like for example, perfecting technique. How do agencies train SPs in this regard? It`s something I always wondered about...........

I have worked for several agencies but was never offered training or even asked if I thought I might want or need some. I think it would be interesting to have some training available...improve my skills, learn new tricks and tips...I do sometimes discuss with friends and other sp`s that I meet these topics but not often and very informally.

Okay, maybe I missed something, but "I am party of a committee" makes me ask the question:

There is a committee?

Committee of who?

Please explain further.

Stella received some funds to be put towards a std project. Stella decided that this was a bit too narrow and to expand it into a guide fo clients and partners.

The people putting it together are all sex workers. Some are independant, some are with agencies, some retired. I am here trying to get feedback from clients to make sure you are represented and have your needs met in such a guide.

Obviously a long time hobbiest should have little need for such a guide but newbies or occasional clients would.

Our last meeting is Dec. 10th.

hi

Being a 'sophomore' in the hobby, I have much of my questions answered through experience and boards like merb. But I remember when I started this hobby, there were questions I would have love being answered.

How does incall work? outcall? massage parlour? strip club? street action?
How much does the sp get? the agency? the driver? the club?
What to do if getting caught by LE? Legal issues surrounding prostitution.
STDs
How many clients does a sp see during a shift?

Like I said, my answers were mostly answered by reading fellow hobbyists on this boards and through experience. It could be helpful for newbies.

Ronnie,
You might consider physically separating the part of your booklet/brochure/whatever that covers std, and for which you have received government funds, from the part that covers other issues, such as "What to do if getting caught by LE?" as suggested by Survivor. I doubt if your government sponsor would condone such content, much less have its departmental logo on the cover. But then again, the feds are slowly legalizing dope, so who knows...

Booklet SP and Clients

Naughtylady

How is your project progressing, we haven't herad from you for a while. When do you expect your booklet to be available and where; will it be limited to some kind of rhetoric or will it expand to real life without going into gossit though.

It is comming along. It will be available sometime in the new year. Distribution has yet to be decided but I will definately have free copies available for anyone who wants one.

The printing deadline is comming up soon but I can still include your input. We want to limit the rhetoric as much as possible and keep it real. What do you think belongs in there? so far everyone who has put some constructive input here will see their ideas included.

Oh yes, it is being funded by Health Canada.

The Guide

Ronnie,

Will the guide be also distributed through the web in a PDF format; you should look at the possibility of doing it.
