I don't have all the official stats so if anyone does, please post Biden's approval ratings during the first 53 days of his presidency. How do they compare to his predecessor's? Should make for an interesting comparison. Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide the data.

Easiest way to do the comparison these days is 538.

They will let you compare favorable/unfavorable with previous presidents at the same point in their term.

He hasn’t gone after COVID testing and contact tracing with the same zeal as he has the distribution of vaccines

This is a huge problem in Canada as well. Screening and surveillance testing is far more important in this kind of situation and neither government has prioritized it in any meaningful way.

Pretty sure Bidon will fuck up with North Korea.
Worse than Trump did?

Joe Biden's first prime time national address drew a larger audience than Donald Trump's first prime time address back in 2017.

Time to move on from those horrible Trump days and enjoy the fact that decency has set foot in the White House.

People watched Biden because they wanted to see a sane, functional adult after surviving four years of dealing with an insane man-child.

An interesting article about why Bidam sucks.

Yes Sol, it is indeed interesting. In spite of the melodramatic and largely inaccurate title, it correctly points out that Biden was elected largely not on his strengths, but because Trump was SO bad and SO despised. Although the Biden administration is clearly far, far better than the previous one, it is unlikely that it will be perfect, even though it is off to a great start so far.

The author clearly has more faith in progressives such as AOC and Bernie and he is perhaps correct that AOC and others like her (but not Bernie, who unfortunately is too old to be a force for much longer) will in the future provide even better government than a long-entrenched politician such as Biden.

The other thing that the article clearly points out is that the left is willing to honestly admit its imperfections - in stark contrast to typical right-wingers who will continue with the same old tired lies until the end of time. Thanks for sharing this intriguing material Sol. It clearly illustrates that Biden's high popularity ratings are in part because of who he followed: he was guaranteed to be better than the previous occupant of the White House...but that fact does not mean that Biden is a Superman. It also needs to be taken into account that Joe also had the benefit of working with a truly exceptional president such as Obama...so yeah, Joe was in the right place at the right time and really could not possibly lose the November 3 election. It's no wonder that he achieved such an overwhelming victory.

That has to be the funniest comment of the year. The old fucker is a babbling fool who does not even know what is going on around him. Like smiling at grandpa when he tries to eat soup with a fork. Him and Harris will screw over the citizens and ruin the economy.

This applies to Trudeau also but the article is about Bidum. The worst hit economically are the low income workers, cutting off the checks at $80k a year is stupid. Target thise who really need it, too hard for most politicians to have any economic sense, just throw money out there to make yourself look good while they are basically idiots with the citizens credit cards.

The decline in Biden's cognitive ability began only in the last few years. He has always been a man of average intelligence and average educational achievement and he has always been gaffe-prone and awkward in his interactions with women and girls.

But as this video clearly shows, he was still fairly quick thinking in 2012 and even in 2016. But by 2020 his long, slow decline towards senility was well underway. It's hard to imagine how he can make it to the next presidential election without his senility becoming a severe handicap.

Though I am not worried about how his growing senility will affect his reelection campaign. Rather I am worried about how his obviously worsening senility will adversely affect the country right now. It's a matter of grave concern. Unfortunately it's a matter that only a few commentators and journalists are willing to address.

CaptRenault, I agree with you, it's all about age. At 78 years old, he is old to lead the most powerful country in the world, but he is not a man who persists.

If he finishes his term, I will be very surprised.

But the more you denigrate Biden, the more you denigrate Trump, because Trump had said that Biden "he is running against the single worst candidate in the history of politics"

Trump almost lying on his desk humiliating and insulting Biden = a president with zero class, who caused the US to lose all credibility in the eyes of the world.

Joe Bidumb has promised that Putin will "pay a price" for his efforts to undermine the 2020 election.

The word from Moscow is that Putin is shaking in his boots.

Putin cannot be happy that his personal hand puppet was trounced by 7 million votes. For 4 years Putin pulled the strings but he knows that Biden will not allow that and will defend America. No wonder Russia interfered in the hope of beating Biden (and before that H. Clinton). Putin knew that with Biden in power the USA would regain much of the strength it threw away during the previous administration. Putin knew that under Biden and the Democrats, the USA would no longer be the world's laughingstock as it was from January 2017 to January 2021. Putin was NOT happy when he saw the results of November 3rd and Putin is not happy now.

Perhaps Biden will have competent and skilled staff around him and he will used them intelligently.
He's not an extreme narcissist.

The opposite. We should all hope that the stuff will use degrading Biden intelligently. It is not clear who will be pulling strings of US politics in not so distant future when Joe will be practically irrelevant.
