Time for a quick review of Joe's first year, AKA Joe Biden's annus horribilis:

Quick executive summary is the first year of Biden's Presidency was the worst first year of any Presidency ever. My elderly father watched his speech yesterday and commented to me that he "misses words like I do" (meaning that in response to questions, there are awkward pauses while he searches for the correct words needed to answer the question). Biden also did not seem to know or understand how to end the press conference gracefully, rudely and inappropriately holding up and glancing at his watch several times. What we are all watching is a fish who is out of water. Someone needs to throw him back in the lake. I have always though it very cruel to watch a fish flopping around endlessly on the bottom of the boat or dock, sucking air.

Looks like Brandon is now going to war over the Ukraine situation. It's not like he has pressing domestic concerns or anything.
Biden vs. Putin.
Should be interesting.
Going to war with Russia in winter has been tried before, and failed.

I guess "going to war" is technically true should actual fighting break out. But to me, "going to war" sounds like you're instigating the war rather than defending a friend (which is what this situation actually is). The party spoiling for a fight is Putin, not Brandon. You should also know that Brandon has said sending US troops is a nonstarter.

While we're on the topic, Biden's answer about invasion/level of incursion was absolutely boneheaded. And the cleanup the White House is doing today means that they know he goofed up. His political career has always included intermittently saying the wrong thing, and he lived up to that yesterday with that response.

However, the only people that can criticize Biden on this had to have also criticized Trump when he threatened NATO and wouldn't commit (or commit then backtrack) to defending NATO allies. Before the usual parties say, "TDS" bringing up Trump is relevant here. Despite Ukraine not being a full NATO member, NATO officials have been involved in diplomatic talks with Russia. Despite Ukraine not being a full NATO member, in some way NATO will likely be involved in any military response to Russian aggression. Had Trump gone through with his wish to pull the US out of NATO, NATO would either be toothless or gone. After he had publicly said he'd back the allies in 2017, by 2018 he was back to saying (in private) that he still wanted to pull the US out of the treaty. It also happens that the country that will primarily benefit from NATO's absence or US absence in NATO is...(drum roll!) Russia.

So yeah Biden's attempt at a nuanced answer was a stupid one that he was wise to revise. But we've also had previous public postures that were ultimately revised that would have essentially let Russia in beyond Crimea. Biden should be called out, but we also need perspective.

Brandon can get bogged down in a quagmire with a protracted land war that the US can't win, unless they call in the nukes. Just like Vietnam.
By getting involved in the Russia/ Ukraine skirmish he can have a disastrous foreign policy just like his domestic policies so far. As a result Brandon will become even more unpopular til he is viewed as a complete failure.
Why do anything halfway?

I asked for a winning strategy. Not a losing one.

Just one Fox "reporter"? Joe's word choice could probably be applied to many Fox on-air "personalities" and with a certain amount of accuracy.
Was the question as phrased ("is inflation a liability?") stupid? Yes. Was an intelligent question of some kind about inflation by ANY reporter inappropriate? No. The topic warranted some question.

Any hot mic situation is usually funny. This one would have been even funnier if as Sharkman suggested, Biden had used the Nixonian choice insult of "cocksucker"

It doesn't matter what Brandon called the reporter. What's troubling is Sleepy Joe seemed to forget he was in a room with other people with a live microphone in front of him. He evidently thought he was just muttering something to himself.
The Weekend At Bernie's presidency keeps rolling on.

The USA should do in Ukraine exactly what they do in the Netflix series "Occupied", in which Norway is invaded by Russia after stopping oil production/exports to the EU. The Norwegian PM asks the American Ambassador to Norway for help. The American Ambassador asks the Norwegian ambassador, "can you explain the winning strategy for the US getting involved in this dispute?" When no answer is provided, the USA stays on the sidelines.

I ask Biden (and Cloudsurf) to answer the same question.
