Just picked up the Pixel (not the XL - extra large) in black. had been a long time iPhone user. Was worried about the adjustment to android, but so far so good. Am having challenges getting all my contacts into the new device, like Whats App for example - no idea why only 5 out of 50 imported...? I suppose I ned to try out the migration adapter that comes with it. I'll let you know how that works. Everything else is intuitive enough. Haven't explored benefit of widgets yet, but as confessed I am a newbie to android.
Not sure what hype you speak of..? Seems very similar to most Samsungs, no better or worse. Camera is great, but that is me coming off an iphone 5, which sucked huge! It is lighter and slim, still fits in breast pocket.
