Massage parlors texting you to entice you to visit again?

Hey everyone.

Local here - I only post occasionally. I normally monger outside the city (and have posted reviews of such) but I enjoy reading the local banter and I’ve shared some reviews of my experiences while abroad.

I did go to a massage place that was well reviewed here, Massage Jolie earlier this year (hope it’s okay to name without shaming).

I’ve had cryptic recall text messages with the address of the place this week from a different number saying they missed having me. Is this a new thing? It was weird.

It’s not so much of an invasion of privacy for me , but I’m also busy and don’t appreciate the unprompted solicitation. Did anyone else have this experience?

It's happened to me on a few occasions from the same place. I just block her and I text her when I want info and then block her again. I find it very annoying.

But how do they got your mobile phone number?
Like you called them before and I assume they spam back all those numbers?

Yes, we can book or inquire by text hence the reason they text back to say: Hey! We have new girls today!

I mean when I give my number to an SP, that’s a conscious choice and it’s totally okay for that person to contact me. But when the operator I need to communicate with to book contacts you, I feel it’s a bit awkward and unwelcome.

Yes I booked via text message. I’m not going to show up unannounced to go see someone random or be turned away if they’re busy.

Yes, I've had it happen on occasion, although not from Jolie's because I don't go there. Very often it happens when you see indy MPs frequently and they have a smaller list of regular customers, so that is you see them regularly and then disappear for a while they may check in to see if they can retain the customer. Sometimes it's just because business is slow. It is a bit annoying and can be even more than annoying for people who don't use a monger phone and get unsolicited requests where other people can see them. In other industries it makes perfect sense to do customer follow up but in this one, where discretion is so important I think it's a bad practice and I discourage it when it happens to me.

Happened many times from mp managers and sometimes from mps. Never from Jolie. When business is slow I suppose. Always a turn off from a girls I like. From managers telling me we have a new girl would you like to try?, I ask them do you have a picture?

I've done that too, and then as soon as I have the pictures I ask them not to text me again, but that I'll be in touch at some point to see somebody. Then I block the number.
