One thing about boxing is that it never fails to entertain. Yet another controversy in the boxing ring by someone who clearly disrespects the sport that makes him millions.

In another showchase that could only happen in boxing what looked like an attempt to headbutt by Ortiz was warned by the ref. I turn away from the tv and next thing you know it Ortiz was down for the count. When I finally saw the replay the classless Mayweather gave no attempt to accept the apologies of Ortiz for the headbutt and swung away. How convienient that the refs attention was turned away from the action in front of him. As if that was not classless enough on Mayweather's part during the post fight interview with the highly respected Larry Merchant he went face to face with him and looked like he wanted to knock out Larry Merchant.

Floyd Mayweather will never be the class act that Manny Pacquiao is. Mayweather represents all that is bad about boxing and Pacquiao represents all that is good about boxing.

Mayweather is simply just trying to sell the big fight with Paquiao by playing the bad guy, remember Tyson acting like a maniac leading up to the Lewis fight which made him and Lewis millions, when the fight finally comes off it will be the biggest fight in the history of boxing.

BTW I'm picking Mayweather to beat Paquiao.

Larry Merchant to Baby Floyd: "I wish i was 50 years younger & i'd kick your ass!"

Priceless!!!!!!

Mayweather has now added 'cheap-shot artist' to his profile, along with wife beater & many other 'notorious' achievements. Oh yeah....nearly attacking an 80-year old man in the ring! On top of that, the old man (Merchant) owned his sorry ass! LOL!!!!

How much do you want to wager on that fight? I'll bet ANY amount you want & we have to get a neutral friend to hold our money prior to the fight. Manny all the way! The greatest pound-for-pound boxer ever!

Sure thing. And we both have to give the amount wagered to a neutral 'buddy' in order for him to hold the money until the fight is over. If any one of us fails to give him the full amount at least a few weeks prior to the fight, the bet will be off......so until then. :D

It's a deal, I'm no welcher, my reputation speaks for itself, Mayweather by 9th round TKO.

I will remind everyone that betting is prohibited on MERB. If this continues to be discussed, long suspensions will be coming and that is a sure thing if you care to bet on it. As this bet seems to have already been made, I will add a provision to it. If the loser does not pay off, I will ban him permanently and have his entire posting history removed from MERB.

Back on topic. Any more gambling talk will be removed without notice and accompanied by a 2 month ban.

Exactly how long did you want the hug-fest to go on for? Final hug and Ortiz still walks back with his hands at waist. Not the most sportsmanlike gesture, that's for sure, but well within the rules. Manny a class act? I guess it is worse to hit somebody legally in a "fight" than to juice yourself thru multiple weight categories.
Let me ask you this....if positions were reversed Saturday, what would you have said? That little punk Mayweather gave a dirty headbutt but finally got what was coming to him....serves him right.
Floyd wins against Pacman, Manny loves to come forward and Mayweather is in his elelment when backing up and countering...hope the fight happens...
