Meat Loaf was anti-vaccine mandate, reportedly seriously ill with COVID before death
The late rocker Meat Loaf was outspokenly anti-vaccine mandate and anti-mask before his COVID-related death.

I liked Patron's post because of his reference and that's my favorite Meatloaf song, but I agree with you. We don't yet know what his cause of death was. To mock him as an anti-vaxxer who died of COVID without any info is as reckless as every person that said it was the COVID vaccine that killed Betty White or Hank Aaron. Social media is doing this planet more harm than good.Does it really matter how he died? He was a great singer with several classic songs under his belt. BAT OUT OF HELL is an amazing , and highly original, album.
As Patron pointed out, he had an illustrious career and led a long life. Seniors tend to die, especially rock stars who generally aren't the best at leading healthy lifestyles.
Twitter has apparently lit up with Branch Covidians mocking his death and even saying he deserved it. Firstly, nothing has been conclusively proven...he may have died with Covid rather than because of it. This is often the case with seniors even though the media often distorts this.
Secondly, his body is barely cold and some are judging, condemning and laughing at him. Once again this shows how this pandemic has really brought out the ugliness in some folks. Mass indoctrination is a scary thing, but keep flying the Covid flag folks! Jim Jones would have been proud of you.
Anyway...
RIP Meat Loaf
Could not have put it better myself. He had a long life at 74, a spectacular music career than included the unforgettable baseball announcer portion about third base and stealing home, then unfortunately died of Covid.
Two out of three ain’t bad.
Cloudurf did he pack the house in Budapest? Just curious how an American rock star played with the crowd there.I saw him at a concert in Budapest Hungary some 25 years ago.
It was an open air stadium seating about 8 to 10 thousand and it was sold out with mostly a male audience. Tickets were not cheap. The young guy sitting beside me owned an electronics import export company and was well on his way to becoming a millionaire.Cloudurf did he pack the house in Budapest? I read he was huge in the UK, so was probably big in many continental European countries as well.Cloudurf did he pack the house in Budapest? Just curious how an American rock star played with the crowd there.
As far as my favorite rock and R&B singers/voices, Meatloaf would make the short list with Elvis Presley, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Smokey Robinson, Jim Morrison (I think he was the first guy who made screams sound artistic), Roger Daltrey, Chuck Negron, Eric Burdon, and a few others. He had a unique voice, a great voice.
He also had extensive acting credits. Two of his best were "Rocky Horror Picture Show" and "Fight Club".
From "Fight Club" - "His name is Robert Paulson."
He was a unique talent.
Out of curiosity, was it a bar called the Playpen ?Wildwood, N.J., 1983. I'm on a camping vacation with a good friend. We happen to see a poster promoting Meat Loaf appearing at a local bar, a venue of maybe 250 seats. Without question, the greatest concert I have ever seen.
I do not recall; it was 39 years ago. SorryOut of curiosity, was it a bar called the Playpen ?
