I don’t often take public transit but can assure you I can feel when subway is down.

It is not that ubers are expensive, ubers are just unavailable.

That’s valid but it really depends on how long the interruption is. If it’s a matter of a few minutes people are usually patient.

Depending on where he was, he can switch to the orange line and make it to where he needed to go

Exactly, depends on where he was and at what time. There were two seperate interruptions on the green line yesterday, the first was from Angrignon to Berri for water infiltration, then in the evening there was another interruption from Berri to Honore-Beaugrand for someone on the tracks, that lasted a good 30 mins.. I had to go somewhere, needless to say I just went home. But the portion of the green line from Berri to Angrignon blocked for water infiltration was down all day till closing time. They had buses going from Lionel-Groulx to Angrignon, for Berri to Lionel-Groulx, just had to take the Orange line. Berri to Honore-Beaugrand was back after 30 mins..

Life happens. I can understand OP's frustration given the circumstances out of his control, it was mentioned in the texts that there was a 30 min wait for uber/taxi's. Maybe he also felt he was owed some trust, especially if he is a regular client and drops alot money at the agency, but at the end of the day, it's still a business transaction. The booker works for and is paid by the agency/SP, and any last minute cancellation/delay costs them money. They have to scramble to fill in the vacancy, or lose time/money as a consequence, especially the closer to the appointment time is, that the cancellation occurs. In situations like these, we have to understand there is frustration for all involved, and show some patience and understanding.

the orange line was working. You had no valid excuse. Sorry. I was downtown I just switched to the orange line and walked 5 mins more.
And you were able to get a last minute booking with the girl he cancelled on!

Around the corner
If it is an in-call it is up to you to make it on time the agency has nothing to do with it.
If for some unknown reason you cannot make it ( In this case you had several options the Orange line, Uber, Taxi)
you apologize and try to work out a solution like reschedule or if they can accommodate you being late and giving up a portion of your time.
I don’t think the agency was rude, I can understand being a bit pissed when asked for a picture because you were frustrated already of being late and not being able to make it, but you also need to understand that they must get all kinds of excuses for people not showing up for appointments.

Or he could have arrived 15 mins late and still had lots of time left. Plus with 15 mins between clients she might have allowed him to overstay a few minutes for making the effort to get there

Also it is not because something unpredictable and unfair happens to you like a subway outage that you can then shift the burden onto others who are also not responsible for it.

Bare minimum if you can`t make an appointment is to offer to compensate the provider for their loss if they can't replace you for that appointment.

I think there was a lot of options available to OP to still make it to the appointment.
