Montreal and Cannabis

Just curious if any such places exist in Montreal where you can go and hang out with like minded Cannabis enthusiasts??

In Toronto we have vape central, the hotbox cafe and vape on the lake just to name a few.

Basically how it’s works is you pay a membership fee generally like 5 bucks then you can rent bongs and vaporizers. No selling, mooching, fishing ashtrays or tobacco allowed.

I’m asking this cause I’m planning to visit Montreal and I see the medical cannabis laws in Quebec are a little sticter than in Ontario. Basically in Quebec you are restricted to smoking in your home not in public, where as in Ontario for now basically it’s the same rules that apply to the smoking rules. So yes we can smoke in public as long as you have the documents stating that you are legal like myself

Not true btw. In Quebec if you have your prescription you can smoke anywhere pretty much... Except near kids and in places where even cigarettes are not allowed.

I may be wrong, but i don't think there are such places in Montreal (yet). But still, the city is very cannabis-friendly. You can light one pretty much anywhere and no one will care.

what about procuring. in toronto there are popup street level dispensiry store fronts. not seeing the sane in montreal

Eventually the gov. will take over the marketplace for weed.

I asked a friend of mine who makes a living selling weed says the law will effect him, not a concern, his quality and prices will be better.
The government will sell at $10 a gram plus tax at 10% per gram ( from what I have heard ). Plus cap the THC content.

Is it still like it was 20 years ago? I remember going to tam tam on sunday's the nice thing was you did not even had to buy any to get high, just hanging around dancing and all the smokes around would do the job

Prices at a legal place in colorado are insanely higher than in the street, not sure how those places are doing so well, i dont see quebec charging 10 a g, unless its some seriously crappy stuff, theyll be greedy and street sellers will still do well

Yes it's still the same, well this is what my dad told me lol. I wasnt there 20 years ago can't say it for sure (almost though ! I was on my way !)

$10 a gram is high unless you only buy one gram, I would never pay $70 a quarter unless it was superb, $280 an ounce is outrageous when it can be had for $220 and much better quality on the street, even online place only charge $260 and it it their top stuff delivered to your door.
