Yeah I read about that in the globe this morning. Its hard to believe in this day and age. I wonder if she has grounds for a human rights complaint or discrimination suit.

WTF is going on in Montreal?????????? Did a bunch of prudes take over the City? First C-36 and now this. Montreal is becoming more like the USA every day. Maybe Quebec should just become the 51st State while they are at it?:rolleyes: LOL.

C-36 came from several thousand miles to the west. It would be ironic if Quebec or any other part of Canada came to be part of the US as some of us are American refugees.

Where are the lawyers when we need them? Unless there is a specific clause in her contract obliging her to inform the school of having acted in the nude long before she joined them, it seems to me that she should be able to sue for wrongful dismissal.

Pretty sure that a morality clause does not have to be in writing. Not saying that I agree with her being dismissed however.

Not surprised. It seems we are moving backwards to medieval times into an age or Biblical and conservative values. I mean who care if she appeared nude but God forbid any women to expose her body or to sell her body. She made the biggest sin so should be cast off. Nopes. Preserving the values of The Bible and traditional family values is more important then anything else.

C-36 has nothing to do with Montréal. Anti sex work activists are very few and very weak here. This teacher's employer is a private religious institution. We had a case similar in Québec City 2 years ago in a public school. She was an employee, not a teacher, and was doing porn. She lost her job. This case is a private matter in a private school. Absolutely ridiculous. Plus, the school lied when they said this thing created disturbance in the school. Many replied it was false. Fucking religious morality.
