Stumbled upon this article published this week in Journal De Montreal. I personally think they should give it a rest.. Its ridiculous. If they close them down, we're gonna go back to the days of street walkers.

The law making it an offense to live off the avails of prostitution may be repealed. In that case, establishments offering some form of sex would no longer be illegal.

I posted some info here a while ago. It has a lot of current research regarding some of the issues before the courts and `Stella`, a sex worker organization from Montreal was involved in the project.

It seems somewhat ironic for a MERB user, and presumably someone who uses the services of sex workers, to take a position against the sex workers who are petitioning the court for greater freedom to practice their profession. It is sort of like a marijuana user opposing the decriminalization of marijuana. Also, in your case, it is doubly ironic because of your handle, freedom

This is not at all true. However, it is true to say that radical feminists (but not moderate feminists) are keen on stamping out the sex trade. Wrong answer. The federal "law" the cles spokeswoman talks about is the "no law" making prostitution legal in Canada. When she says "until the federal changes its law", she means : until the federal government makes prostitution illegal. Wishful thinking.

Yes I agree. Some hair clipped wire glasses wearing ugly lumpy bitch that has never been lusted after. Therefore the feminist is going to take it out on us that enjoy beautiful women for a fee. I just saw an add on Atlanta TV last weekend about having sex with underaged prostitutes. This is the city where news reports claim that there are 1000's of 14 year old escorts working after starting out as dancers and then moving on to escorting. Come on! This is being weaved into the conventional wisdom and anyone who questions this must be a perp.
