Is it me or st.denis street is dying off?

Last time I went there, a few months ago, I noticed a few restaurants shut down.

St-Denis has been dying for the past 10 years. Leases are so expensive that unless you are well established (L'Ile Noire, 3Brasseurs, St-Bock, etc.) or appeal to a large group (Turbohaus), you have to close.

I honestly downtown Montreal had legit 1950s American style diners.

Those were my favorite type of restaurants.
