Bien... quand un groupe ethnique est visé dans un pays pacifique qui prône la tolérance, on en parle partout quand il arrive de quoi. Mais, dans un pays où les razzias sont courantes, on en parle moins

It has nothing to do with pro-Muslim bias. It has to do with two things:

(a) American media doesn't pay attention to Africa as a whole beyond a tragedy like the recent Ethiopian plane crash or the Nigerian school collapse. Coverage of the plane crash would have been less if eight Americans weren't among the dead or the Boeing issue.

(b) That attack is locally seen within the context of an ongoing conflict between Muslims and Christians. As a result, it's far less titillating for the business of "If it bleeds, it leads." The fact that you sourced it from CBN also shores my point about religious division. CBN likely mentioned it as another example of Christian persecution around the world.

I've lived in Nigeria and there is a lot of religious and ethnic division between Muslims and Christians, Hausa and Yoruba, Yoruba and Igbo. That is an enduring legacy of a country patchworked together by British colonialists. So while the attack is sad, its context is different. Several Boko Haram attacks also don't get mentioned either, but much like in the Middle East the main victims in Boko Haram attacks are fellow Muslims.

The New Zealand attacker is a hate-filled outsider attacking Muslims in another country.

All this just shows us how illogical and insane hate is in modern times.
Hate and fear are natural occurrences in animals and early humans and aid in self preservation and protection of the tribe.
In modern humans that live in large mixed communities ….hatred is destructive and leads to mass killings and war.
Hate is sown into the fabric of our genes and it manifests itself more in some than in others.

The actual reason that it was so mediated is that the killer was on LIVE on facebook when it happenned . With a go pro attached to his head. That is some new level thing . Like who does that ?? So thats why THIS specific attack got so big . You can still find the whole video online

Now this is just my opinion but if governments did not cave to the demands of Muslims and bend over backwards to please them perhaps the racists would be a little less vengeful.

Sol - There should be no ifs ands or buts concerning this. This is horrible and pure evil. No excuses. The whole world should condemn this and not add but if only . . .

How much of a hatred must the shooter have in his heart to shoot 5-10yr old children and then when they are down you shoot them again just to make sure they are dead.
There is nothing in this world that can justify that. Even if you are a racist, which I think you are, would you be okay to shoot 5-10 year old kids for revenge? Such a shame that we get people like you who can justify such an attack in 2019.

An attack on anyone irrespective of religion, race etc etc should be condemned and not justified. I condemn Holocaust, i condemn the crusades, the residential schools, ISIS and I also condemn this with atmost disgust not because I am a liberal, I am not, because I am a human being.

If that video did not disturb you and you feel this attack is justified because of govt's action. I feel so sorry for you.

@GaryH - They're blaming Chlesea Clinton?? That's so weird and irrelevant.

@AmandaXO - Exactly, the GoPro live stream of the shooting took it to another level, media wise. (The thing about Western media mostly ignoring Africa is also in play.)

@STN - Well, we know where you stand.

^^^^^^ Me racist, not a chance. Love it when someone gives a point of view and are called racist. Good comeback. My post was about what the media reports, my comments are a thought as to what triggers racists, one would be giving their targets special privileges, nothing more, nothing less.

Raj these shooter are anti-social psycho that most probably where bullied since childhood. So they isolated themselves in their own online bubbled world and start to believe the shit they read and see on the Internet.

If one can in the US can make huge amount of stupid people think 9/11 or Sandy Hook school shooting were framed and never happened just imagine how one can frame is own sick mind...

This is why condemnation of such act is very important in developed countries (and condemn both far left and far right activist). We do not want to reach a level where it becomes weekly routine like in shitholes countries (as one important ass hole calls them).

I'm not thrilled with Muslims moving to the west. They don't assimilate very well. I always thought that other oil rich countries in the Middle East should absorb these refugees.

Having said this, I wonder how fucked up in the head you got to be to go do something like this? These victims are people that are trying to run from terror in the first place. If you want to fight the Taliban, I got to think that there is an armed force that will take you. Fortunately, in the US you can enter the armed forces and volunteer to go to the Afghanistan or Iraq. I think that you can also go to Syria and volunteer to fight bad guys. This way you have a chance of actually killing a bad guy and not 49 people that are running from bad guys. These are good guys. In this respect we have a lot in common. They are running from terror and we don't want terror in our countries. This ought to be enough that we can exist together in some fashion.

My buddy is from the West Bank. He always said that when the Muslims get fed up and want to lash out at the Israelis they end up getting one that is willing to live among them.
In short, they take revenge against someone that is not causing them a problem in the first place. He said the same is usually true for the other side.

That is exactly why this thing really blew up fast. Other parts of the world like Africa are almost cut off from the main stream media and ignored by western culture.
However if you listen bbc and other European news outlets what happen in Africa was well publicized.

I don't think you should blame the New Zealand government's immigration policy for this evil carnage. Just like I think it's ridiculous to blame Donald Trump's rhetoric on immigration for something that happened in New Zealand.

First, can you show me where I blamed New Zealand? I posted " governments " most of them. I am all for legal immigration, illegal fuck no. Come to Canada and become a Canadian, you are welcome unless you are a parasite who only takes, color makes no difference. Do not try to change our laws to please you, you left your place for a reason. Again, do not care what color you are. Governments need to take care of their own properly first and that is not happening. Having a racist down on his luck would get triggered easily, do not give him a wide range of triggers. All I was saying. Was it racist to say that, just want to make sure.

I need to first see the data on what those 25000+ immigrants made of themselves with the opportunity Canada gave them to decide whether the govt.'s plan to accept these immigrants was good or not. I am strictly against the rehabilitation program that govt has to bring back ISIS members.

The christchurch attack has taught me that its not religion that makes people bad. (I cannot blame all white ppl for this attack.) This attack should bring the humanity together to fight against terrorists irrespective of religion, race or color.
I also read Senator Fraser Annings (elected senator of queensland, Australia) official press release blaming Muslims and Immigration for the attacks, and if you read that press release you will find so much hate towards muslim immigrants. He was even quoting the bible.

It is not because of govt. actions that triggers a racist. It is comments like the senators, opinions like yours that make the racist firm in his belief and encourage people to act on it.

Your hypotheisis that "govt. bending backwards towards mulims' demands" triggered the racist has no proof. History has taught us that racists don't need trigger they only need support. Hitler dint kill millions of jews because of govt. ISIS dint enslave, kill and rape yazidi women because of govt. KKK dint lynch african-americans because govt. bent backwards to accomadate the negros.
In my opinion a racist only needs support. Today with social media comments it's easy for him to find it. In this age of social media you don't have to be behind a gun to pull the trigger.
