Is Brian B a better choice then Bob Gainey ! Indeed !

So true Nadya. But this is an organization that also gave up on other promising players - Steen and Colaiacovo. But what do you expect from a franchise that has missed the post season for a fourth year in a row (there hasnt been a playoff game in Toronto since 2003!) and hasn't had so much as a sniff of the Stanley Cup finals in 42 years!
Indeed my Dear Habs Fan,
However let us remember that since Serge Savard was let go, our own situation has been dismal !
Our Organization is no longer "" The measuring Stick "" in the NHL !
Not even in my back yard !!!
The Glory days are long gone and the way business is conducted today ,
it's all about keeping your head above the forest and aware of your environment at all times !!!
Gainey was anything but aware of what was going on.
Poor draft picks !
!
Jarvis telling him that Francois Beauchemin had no futur in the league ...
and he took his word for it !
!
Carbonneau said the same thing about Mark Streit , that he had no futur
at the blue in the NHL !
! Do I need to say more !!!

I Agree Nadya, they did give up on him and when they let him go my first thought was like "what"?....... but then again, it wasn't Burke, and NOW it is Burke pulling the strings..... why do i have a feeling the Leafs will be a better team than the Habs next year?
Igna my Dear ! Remember the days of Doug Gilmour and Felix the Cat
during the 93 playoffs !
The Toronto Maple Leafs is the most important franchise in the NHL !
With Brian B in the driver seat this is beautiful !!!
However , the way I see it, the Leafs are still in the bottom 10 of the
league while the Habs are in the middle of the pack.
Before anyone says the Sedin's will be playing for the Leafs next year
well forget about it.
With Mats and Roberto in the lineup why would they wish to leave ???
They wont. Therefore the Habs are still one step ahead.
One small step !

It's not just the Leafs that give up on good players, Nadya. Look at how well Ribeiro and Ryder have been doing since moving on from Montreal. Some players just don't seem to mesh with certain teams. Whether it's the organization, the coach, the other players or even the city the team is in...some players don't come into their own until they move on.
Which reminds me of a joke...
How many Newfies does it take to beat the Habs?
Just one.... Michael Ryder!
Absolutly !!!
Streit , Beauchemin , Huet , combied with 2003 NHL Entry Draft disaster.
That's when Gainey really blew it !!
Drafting Andrei Kostitsyn instead of Ryan Getzlaf, Jeff Carter or Zach Parise !
Followed in the second round with Cory Urquhart instead of Shea Weber OR PATRICE BERGERON !!!
!!!
And it never stops ... How about our DRUNK "" Carey Price "" selected instead of Anze Kopitar !
The list goes on !!!
