Official scams and bait and switch tactics thread.

I wanted to propose the idea of creating a dedicated thread where members can share their negative experiences with Leolist and other questionable platforms. While we already have a reviews section for both positive and negative feedback, I believe having a specific space to discuss scams, bait and switch tactics, and other shady practices would be incredibly helpful.

By sharing your encounters, including platform, names and last four digits of phone numbers, you can help warn others and prevent them from falling victim to unscrupulous service providers. I’m starting this thread because, after some time away from the forum, I’ve been reading recent reviews and noticing a concerning number of scam reviews. It’s surprising that members continue to get scammed despite the forum’s efforts to raise awareness about the risks of certain platforms.

Let’s use this space to highlight these issues, exchange cautionary stories, and support each other in making safer choices. I look forward to hearing your worst experiences and potentially helping others avoid unnecessary loss of time, money, and potential danger.

Scamming happen long before any of us got here, there tentacules run deep, so the Octopus will survive. (yes i made a Cobra Kai upside down référence )

No seriously by now the obvious scams all been listed more times than i can count. Most of the peoples who still get caugh that show up here usually say "i just found this board, i didn't knew". They likely googled "escorts" and found some shady ads, then got scammed, and then they were mad at themselves and did more researches and ended up here...

Honestly all the tools are at your disposable to not get scammed on this board. And with basic searches this board kinda pop easily... (i dunno if its because im already a member and google know me lol but it pop for me often)

I doubt there is much we can do.

Maybe a sticky with a list of "don't" to not get scammed, but then again what should make the list? When i started it was "a bad idea" to pay upfront, even in merb agencies. They didn't had the same criteria of hiring as of now. Now its commonly accepted and agencies are a lot more "aknowledgable" then the old ones from back then.

So altough i get your idea... the truth is by the time they see this thread, it would already be too late for the peoples who got scammed lol

Basically. Does not matter how many warnings you put about LL. Guys be looking for cheap fucks. Underage. Or overage girls. They all check LL.

If they find a real diamond. They rarely share it
