Please make sure there's decent food, and showers that have hot water constantly ( 2 biggest complaints in FKK land )

Does this mean that massage parlours could become brothels? If the workers are not "exploited" by "pimps" it seems to me that they could be seen as incalls and not breaking any law.

I'm not sure if it means an increase in taxes actually since the ladies actually pay to work at a place and the "Tip" that you are giving them is actually a tip, and in general you don't tax tips.

I look forward to seeing how this all works it self out.

Taxation in a minor issue in this whole thing, whatever the governments and sex organizations may say. Governments do not decide to legalize for fiscal purposes but to ensure the sex workers security. New Zealand, Swiss, German and Dutch governments all agree that their tax revenues are not way under what's expected from the estimated business turn over. One on one cash transactions are very difficult to regulate from a fiscal point of view.

I don't believe taxes or even licenses are the issue here. As has been noted massage parlour and strip club owners know how to play the tax game, and operate legal businesses.

My question is whether the acts tolerated in these establishments will eventually change if this ruling is upheld. Will so called "extras" still be illegal, and if so, what law will be broken? Will the federal govt. re-draft legislation on the sex trade to try to put the genie back in the bottle?

Correct me if I am wrong, but the whole purpose of the ruling was that the original ruling considered women SP's operating in an illegal situation as being dangerous and added risk to their safety; the Court agreed with this line of thought. Therefore, I do not think they would allow the government to make the situation illegal.

They did not make a suggestion or say that Street prostitution should be legal.

My thought is that the government will zone brothels to places that are removed from residential areas. They will continue to intervene in street prostitution.

Most women who are street prostitutes are pretty desperate. I think there should be an intervention for Street Prostitutes that allows them to get drug and other counseling, instead of arrest records and jail.

The ruling only means that the rest of Canada will catch up to Quebec, it only means they will do what we do. They will turn a blind eye unless there are complaints. Then they can act if there are drugs or minors involved.
