ok i have to say it is probably and not the board for it....but some ...and i mean some of you know some hockey (better then me for sure in some case) and have some good idea and good answer for the reason they could understand ...cause now i am :mad::mad:

why in the blue hell they exchange JAMES NEAL...a supebe athlete ....and too get some that sorry but i dont know them that much..:confused:

http://penguins.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=724163

i got NEAL from dallas in 2011 and since then i was superbe..except some injury and suspension..but still was great over all....
81 points the first year....40 games.....and 40 games with 36 points=injury...and the last was 61 point for 59 games..and all that miss goal and poteau sniff..so i am mad now..veryy...and i am not talking about the other two...cause from what i saw =list of the year they play ..i am not impress.

The only good news for my team is...that new assistant coach...i always love my tocchet..i am glad he come back...

http://penguins.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=723849

for the head coach...ok seems good to have a new one...even if DAN was doing a good job...always the coach who is hurt in all that for the lost...

http://penguins.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=723848

also they chose a forward again=ok seems good... but damn i need some defenseman...i am piss grrr...good for the attack...but i need some defenseman.

http://penguins.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=724255

and the last of the last news...that i am happy...is lemieux 30 years of 66..great reportage...

http://penguins.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=722145

so my question is...why exchange NEAL...why also not getting defenseman....a second best goaly=who is gonna take place of fleury...etc....they are stuck to go for the attack..never of the defense grrrr...so give me your opinion...thanks..

on the last note...do you think they gonna exchange malkin or crosby...if they do that....i am going to pittsburgh right now and go shake lemieux brain..grrrr

I will try to answer some of your questions. First I did not like like the new GM, Shero is better. They made the Neal trade because they wanted to free up some cap space. The guy they got back can score goals too. As for defence they probably think they are ok. They lost this year because they had trouble scoring in the playoffs. They will address the goaltending situation this summer. They will not trade Crosby or malkin ,they are two of the best hockey players in the world. They will build around them. Do not worry sometimes change is good, time will tell.

It is called addition by subtraction. It happens in sports all the time. I agree that sometimes change is good when a chemistry of a team has proven that it just is not working. This is a team that has had a string of disappointing playoff performances in recent years, including the fiasco against Philadelphia a few years ago which is widely considered to be the worst defensive hockey ever played in an NHL playoff series. You may recall Philly played 3 goalies in the series and Pittsburgh was almost as bad.

first thank you both...but november .for the space cap there is almost none(800k)...cause the salary total is almost the same...like i talk with one of my friend who is addict to hockey...know a lot.. ..he think probably the one cause could be in the locker room...but i dont know...still they exchange not long ago JORDAN STAAL...so probably NEAL..wanted more attention to him..cause crosby and malkin are getting a lot....or for some other reason...but i reallyyyyyyyyyyyyy dont understand that trade AT ALL ...if let say they had got a new goaly like lundquist lollll..ok ok i am dreaming...but at least would have been better...and also for the age stand point they are the same...so i reallyyy dont understand that move...trust me if lemieux exchange crosby or malkin...pittsburgh here i come

still they exchange not long ago JORDAN STAAL

And you got a better player in return- Brandon Sutter

James Neal did nothing in the playoffs.. He will do well in Nashville, but the guys you got back will play great in Pittsburgh

Jim Rutherford is one if the best hockey minds. You are lucky to have him

Best Regards

Agreed, Jordan Staal has been a real disappointment in Carolina, he needs another change of scenery, Toronto lol. Trading Neal was a shock.

Most teams do a shake up when high expectations are not met in the playoffs.

Neal, I believe, lost flavour with Pittsburg management, with his stupid penalties, such as, his knee to Brad Marchand's head.

He may have lost his welcome in the dressing room too. How knows ?

Look at Mike Ribeiro. Three years left in his contract. Buy out. Bad seed for the team. Bye Bye

At least, there was some return.

Sometimes there are issues in the lockerroom that never make it into the press. I recall back in the 1990s the Yankees had a player named Mel Hall, who had his best year in the majors with the Yankees, and then mysteriously was allowed to sign a not very big deal with a Japanese team that the Yankees easily could have matched. Hall was a potent lefthanded bat and I could not figure out why they let him go. Years later it came out that he was a bully in clubhouse, harassed the younger players and in particular Bernie Williams, then a budding star center fielder. The Yankees let Hall go because they decided he was a bad character/clubhouse cancer. About 5 years ago, Hall was convicted of raping a minor and he is now in prison, not even eligible for parole for 22 years.

I am not saying Neal is this kind of bad apple, but who knows. I would bet fair money on something like this. I could not figure out why the Bruins traded Tyler Seguin a few years back, and it was the same reasons, just not a good guy with his teammates off the ice, despite great talent. So they got rid of a young superstar player that does not come around often, and he would have led a very good Bruins team in scoring this year.

Without knowing all the facts you have to trust the team knows what it is doing. If Lemieux said Neal had to go, then he had to go.

The Pens have all the ingredients to go all the way. The management and coaching changes are paying off.

If they stay away from injuries and get steady goaltending from Fleury the rest of the way, they could win it all!

Trust me i dreammmm and pray about it hihihi :hail::hail::hail:
