Surely this has been done before, but cannot find anything. Either way, can't hurt for newbies

ok, we all know that posted ages are a little misleading, but sometimes they are downright farcical. I came up with this little conversion chart for newbies not to be fooled by what is posted.

While this contains a lot of truth, it is meant with humour and not a slight in any way towards the providers we love. Once in a while you will find providers that are actually very honest about their age, so this is only a rough guide.

Posted age vs actual age conversion chart

Posted age - Actual age

18-19 = 20-22 _______ maybe a good thing, 18-19 does seem a little young for this business

20-22 = 23- 28 _______ all pretty much the same kinda age. As far as i am concerned, the best age. Anyone posted as 20-22 is a safe bet.

23-25 = 29 _______ last chance to legitimately claim under 30

26 = 30-34 _______ anyone posted over 25 is clearly over 30

27-28 = 34-38 _______ late twenties is getting risky

29 = 39-45 _______ 29 is code for someone that's probably around 40

30+ = 41-50+ _______ someone that posts over 30 is either very honest or very dishonest :)

40+ = 60+ _______ that's ok, there is still a market for that

50+ = ? _______ don't think i ever saw that

Great thread @2fast2slow . This thread sure will help a lot of merb members.

As I personally only look for younger girls, most of the time I get disappointed when it turns out the girl looks much older in person :(.

I think safest bet here is seeing 18-20 years old only if you are into younger girls :) .

Around the corner
I think the chart by the OP is pretty accurate actually.
I don’t have a problem with age whatsoever as long as they don’t lol.
I actually prefer a more mature woman but then I met a couple of ladies in their early 20 s and was pleasantly surprised by their maturity.
For me anybody from 22-50 can be gorgeous and fun to be with and as the majority fit into this I don’t think I will ever have a problem.

There's also the fact that in some cases 'Age ain't nothing but a number'. You can put 3 people who are both 37 years old side by side and 1 can look 45, the other 30 and the third can look 37.

So you can't always get an accurate idea just based on age. But how do you know what a specific age looks like. That's also not the same for everyone.

Here's a story for you. A few years ago, I had a period of a few months when I tried out tinder and OkCupid dating using my real age. A few months in, I had a birthday that moved my age to a different age range bracket. This is how people set their profile preferences to see profiles of that age group.

It took me a couple of weeks of wondering why all of a sudden I had way less profiles shown to me and way less messages by members. It finally hit me that it was because my profile was now in a older age bracket and that affected who I was matched with.

I thought it was ridiculous because I was no different a few weeks prior so I changed my age back to the previous one. I did include in my profile that I was in reality x years old. I don't actually look my age anyway.

Well - you know it - my matches improved and messages started coming in again. Just for 1 year's difference Lol

Ps: online dating is so horrible lol

So true. A couple of weeks ago there was a video of Euro 2020 host Paola Ferrari that went viral for a supposed ''Basic Instinct' moment that attracted the attention of many men internationally. So a beautiful woman getting attention with a wardrobe malfunction is not that uncommon. But that's not the real story. From BarstoolSports blog : "What the real story should be here is how Paola Ferrari is 60 years old. I'm not going to say the age I had in my head because I'm a gentleman, but it was certainly way lower than SIXTY. I will conclude this blog my standing up and applauding. "

And there is the fact that this conversion chart demonstrates. Putting your real age puts you in a disadvantageous position because people assume that you are older than you are.

This was proven to me once when I was advertising my exact age some years ago. A client wrote me that he preferred a specific age and provided an example of an SP of that age that he had been seeing. I knew that sp personally and knew for a fact that her real age was actually older than my real/advertised age. We looked about the same age.

Someone also once told me that he was expecting me to look older because I would probably be 5 years older that advertised.

We're kind of stuck with that too. I definitely look younger than my real age so it's usually something I find fun to reveal because people are always surprised. But if clients are also going to assume I'm 5 years older, then I'd be dumb to use that age.

if we have verified ads on LL, pretty soon we will have 'verified age'

To break the trend, sps would have to post 'this is my actual age and I can prove it'...but there will always be people who lie about there age, its human nature

By default I always go by Posted Age + 5 Years give or take. Only three times where I encountered a girl where her posted age was her actual age. Chloe Milan before the Milan when she just started out with Girls on Fire in 2008. Caroline of FKS also in 2008 and Amelie of I-N in 2004 where I met her when she just turned 21. The only time I think where her posted age was waaaay below her actual age probably by 10 years was Kelly of Wildtime and this was in September of 2015.

In all honesty though when I am in hobby status in my hotel room where the girl is about to show up within an hour or so I am in such a ravaging devour horn dog mode I don't really give a crap ha ha. As long she is well dressed, very appealing to the eyes, carrying herself well in a smiling happy mood and good chemistry between us that age/number thing is not even on the register. Ha ha. I am just focused on how many times I can empty/bust my nuts and all the ways I am allowed to. LOL.

My ex sugar baby who's still a very good friend was just turning 19 when she started escorting. But she advertised herself as 22 to look more mature. She told me then that her number of calls doubled just when she changed her age.

Interesting. But I admit she is a higher end companion and therefore attracts men who probably expect a more classy and mature attitude.

Well, at 18, some girls are surprisingly mature. But others still have their teenage attitude...

I prefer myself a 25yo to an 18yo. But my girl was a case of the mature ones!

When I first got into the industry at 24 girls told me to advertise 2-3 years younger. When I became established I advertised 4 years older than I was, because I was getting too many young guys. So my friends told me to advertise as +30 when I turned 25.
Mature men do gravitate towards older women. They want the mind and body as the full package. And to know they are investing in the future of a provider not just pissing away their money.
The chart is a little over generalized, but true for some, so good job.

According to this chart I'm around 40... guess my mom had me at 11years old??? this is the exact reason I use to advertise as significantly younger than I am, yall love to compare reputable providers to the scams you find on LL or humpchies. As someone turning 30 in January, I hate this mentality. Everytime I see this crap it makes me want to go back to advertising as 23 just to not lose out on business.

I'm seeing age gaps of approximately 10 years between reality and posted age (outcall agency). A little more truth in advertising would be much appreciated.

How does one know when the age advertised isn't exact? Do you ask the lady her real age or you just have a specific idea of what people look like at a certain age and assume based on that?

Some people genuinely look younger or older than their actual age !

You’re 100 percent correct. When they say late 20’ or 30 add 10 years lol

I don't think it's a "specific idea". Innately we can approximate the age of someone in front of us. The person may also share personal information that can help us estimate their age. Even disregarding the argument, the fact that posted ages don't tend to change year over year is a pretty good sign that they're not accurate, granted that the difference is often less than 10 years.

In some cases of course, but we can be wrong in many cases too because not everyone looks their age.

Haha, yeah, if she's been 22 for 5 years something doesn't add up. I was wondering how people go about knowing someone's actual age when it's the first time they see their ad/see them. If you know for a fact it hasn't changed in years then that's obvious and different

I agree with your point, it's not perfect. I'll give you a recent detailed exemple since you seem genuinely curious. Over the course of the meeting, the lady said: she had a kid; had previously owned a small business; had previously driven a truck for a specific company; owned a condo. In light of the personal information she had disclosed (without me asking) and of her appearance I concluded that she was most likely around 35 years old (not 25 as posted).
