Prelib STI and STD testing Review

I recently heard of this place of how it's quick and inexpensive to do a testing, I decided to book an appointment and wanted to share my experience here with you guys. I have had some personal relationships that I did not use protection, but I always had protection while meeting an SP, except for the bbbj part.
I honestly did not think I caught anything from my personal relationships, but I've always been uncertain regarding this. After learning about this place, I decided to get a test myself and I just got my results yesterday and all my test results were NEGATIVE :)

To book an appointment: You first need to go to their website and create an account. Once that is done, you will be asked a series of questions regarding you sexual experiences. These questions will help determine what kind of test you will need. After answering all of them, you will be told what tests are recommended for you (you can always refuse some tests) and to choose a time and date for your appointment. This whole process did not take more than 5-10mins.

Upon arrival of appointment: You normally will need to enter your information on a computer at the entrance but because of the COVID situation, they will ask you to call the front desk to let the nurse know you have arrived, and shortly after the nurse will greet you and explain the process with you. To sum up the process, they charge a 15$ fee for delivering your samples to the lab. You have two choices regarding labs. 1) A public laboratory that is free of charge, but will take about 7 days to receive a result of your test. 2) A private laboratory that charges $250(I think) for your lab results but will give you the results within 48hours.

Taking your samples for testing: The blood sample is taken by the nurse. She was very kind and very cute too! It was done very professionally so no problems there. The other samples are taken by yourself. The Nurse will direct you to a bathroom, inside will be a drop bin where you will drop off the samples you collected yourself. To collect the samples, you will follow instructions from a video inside the bathroom. You can pause it, fast-forward or rewind the video if need so. Very simple process, it took me about 10mins to collect all the samples needed. After that your done and free to go.

Obtaining results: I was told by the nurse I will receive a call in about 7 days (I took the public laboratory option) from the doctor to tell me my results, regardless if they are negative or positive. Results are also posted on your account on the Prelib website and you will receive an e-mail about them when the doctor posts the results.

To sum it up, I was very pleased by this place. It's located close to a metro station, and also discreet. The staff is nice and the fees are not expensive, $15 dollars total in my case. I was finally able to let myself at ease and know for a fact that I'm 100% clean. For everyone who is wondering or has doubts about themselves, I really recommend this place.

I have used them a few times and I like the online booking, non-judgmental nursing staff and getting my results online. The private option is expensive: only Wirth it if your really in a rush or if you don't want your results posted in your DSQ

I thought they just phone you with the results or you can see them on their website?
I have never been phoned (perhaps I set up my account with that preference?). I do get an email notification that my result is available, but then I need to log on to see it.

Ah ok - I thought the results were just posted in your account on *their* website - not on your DSQ. Thought it might be a bit more confidential.

I recommend this place, takes 10 minutes out of your day, costs 15$ and if you are worried about any painful testing, worry not. They don't do the painful swab into the penis, they instead let you take your own urine sample and use the tiniest needle I have ever seen for the blood test. Such a breeze. The thing I liked the most is that you can change/cancel your appointment as late as 4 hours before your scheduled appointment so its really easy to fit a busy day.

This place is a breeze, the nurses are no nonsense, not judgmental, it's super easy to book and manage online. They have changed their protocols and they call you before posting your results online, regardless of status (at least this has occurred to me in the last couple of months) which is the only rub but the good part is you get to schedule your call online beforehand, so no surprise for those who want to be discreet.

The most I've ever run into is one other person waiting their turn, or going in or out of the cabins, so for those worried about crossing paths with lots of people or awkward waiting rooms this is a great option.

Thanks for the info. Couple of questions- hopefully someone can answer. Once the borders between the US and Canada are open:
1) Do they offer this service for non residents of Canada ? .
2) Do they prescribe STD's treatments if needed? Obviously, will have to pay cash and go the private route.

1- I believe they do but the cost will be higher since you'll not only pay the visit but also will only have access to private lab service for screening, you may want to check in with them, the website is available in English and most of the staff I've dealt with have been Anglo or perfectly bilingual.

2- This is more of a service for asymptomatic testing, they will refer you to the connected Quorum clinic next door if you already present symptoms, I assume it will be the same if your tests come back positive (cannot speak from experience). This is really more of a satellite testing operation of that said clinic, they only need one nurse to run it since almost all the rest is automated or self handled.

Question: if I have symptoms and go to Quorum clinic the results and prescribe will be anonymous or go to dossier du Quebec?
Thanks!

Public or private clinic, if you caught an STD, I am pretty sure they are mandatory to declare your STD to public health!

Prelib looks convenient and cheap but looks like they don't test the throat!!!
I know someone that used their services and he had to go to CLSC to get his throat tested.
Someone else that use their services can confirm this is the case?
If yes, than doesn't worth wasting our time to go there for incomplete STD test.
Better to go to a CLSC

Prelib can test all sites (genital, anal, throat) for Gono and Chlam. Maybe they wont test your throat systematically if you don’t say that you perform BJs but they will test you if you ask.
