Question about HPV vaccine in Quebec

Hello, so I've been lurking here for a while now and took a break from a very short career dating escorts. It is a 3 dose vaccines.

I would call some private clinics and ask them if they are willing to give you the shot without checking ID. Just give them a fake name.

You can always tell her you want the vaccine cause you re scared of head and neck cancer. There is a chance it could be therapeutical for existing throat infection, and you cant tell if you are currently infected.

How about going in a private pharmacy/clinic in Ontario or new brunswick?

If you don't want it in dsq, you must get it outside of quebec...
I've worked in pharmacy, and it is mandatory now for every vaccine to be entered into the dsq...

You could get the prescription from your dr, and get the shots done in ontario would be my guess on how to get around the system... but i don't know if other provinces are able to do it or if they have to record it.. but ontario likely doesn't have access to dsq to enter it on is my guess...

No plans will pay for it for older people in the US. I thought getting the shots was worthwhile so I just paid for it myself at a doctor's office. It cost $200 for each of 3 shots a few years ago. You could probably still do this, albeit with some increase in the price.

I think there could be privacy issues that you could control in the US. Vermont is not that far for you.

You can get gardasil-9 at a clinic in the US, but yes, it will be out-of-pocket and not cheap. Total cost is near $1K now. And it may be put on your vaccination record.

The CDC recommendations against older men getting it are garbage. They say it's not necessary because by middle age, most men have magically become exposed to all the HPV variants that gardasil covers.

They should just say they want to protect insurance plans from covering the costs.

The consequences of HPV are often much worse for women than men, so the CDC should also just come out and say that they won't help men protect their female partners.

Yes it is.. I was like 35 when I got it... didn't know I was returning to this field, but got it just for my own protection never knowing what the future holds... (and had a family member die of cervical cancer, so fear of seeing it happen to someone else).

The medical recommendations against people getting the vaccine seem to be directed at keeping insurance payments down, not about actually helping people.

HPV is more dangerous to women (statistically, if I remember right) than men... so it seems like men would be doing the decent thing for their partners by getting vaccinated.

My point is that if there is a safe and effective vaccine that protects from some forms of HPV (though not all!), it's irresponsible for the government to say that some types of people would not benefit from it.

Isn't it because if you're older and have had multiple partners already, you've probably already been exposed to many of them? I know that's what they used to say but has that changed?

BTW those of you who haven't already should get your hep vaccines. 3 doses. I'm sure other places offer it but La Licorne has them for free. Maybe they have HPV too, I haven't asked

.initally i got just hep b vaccine when i got devorced and was sexually active again as my dr said hep b is a epidemic .
guy at work got hep b he was so sick he could not even keep down a teaspoon of water.

my dr said would be a good idea to get a booster b and since i never had the hep a vaccine i got twinrix 1st shot(A+B) havrix 2nd shot (hep A 2nd shot)
