Look behind you.
I am looking to purchase a gift certificate for someone, which place is preferred, Victoria secret or La Senza?
Thank you.

It is the same,Victoria secret bought La Senza and now it is the same stock,Victoria secret does sound more ''glamour'' but really the products are the same...

Personally I find Victoria's Secret has slightly nicer stuff, but more importantly it actually fits me better.

While Agent Provacateur or La Perla are very nice, they are a little pricey for many...

These companies ( Victoria secret/la sensation) are part of the "Limited " umbrella based out of Columbus, Ohio

Sol , was your question about lingerie division, Or their consumer division ( perfumes/ soaps/lotions ) ?

Around Montréal...
There's more of La Sensa stores than Victoria's.

For me, it would be significative, because I prefer things who are simpler in life.
It is just easier to cross a La Senza on my path than the other.
This said, I don't like very much those 2, I will find something there, but if I go by myself shopping lingerie, I go elsewhere.

If you are sure that the lady will be happy with this kind of gift card, go for it.

If you want to go very general and don't miss your goal to make her very happy without any doubt,
There is another suggestion (even if you don't ask for this in fact ), if you permit me, is a gift card of any big drugstore.
We can find so many articles of beauty there (make-up, parfume) to books, to electronics, to more usual articles also.
And big bonus, the big drugstore are very common, easy to reach.
I don't know a woman who don't have big expenses in a drugstore. When we enter there for 1 or 2 articles,
we always get out with a full bag.
Anyway, that's just a suggestion, it could be good for you or anybody who could read this thread.

But if you want to stick to lingerie, maybe just ask her what is her preferable lingerie store, but you will have to find a way to be subtile if you want to preserve the surprise.

Just an FYI if you are buying lotions/ soaps/ perfumes from Victoria's Secret or La Senza

They are all contracted out to independent labs to manufacture, and then put into proprietary bottles, and labels affixed..

I spent sometime in my professional life supplying to the textile business. I see Smuler alluded to this but I want to reiterate a fact: Less than 1% of the textiles sold in North America are manufactured in North America. Now that number may have changed because the cost of managing a long supply chain and the massive orders often lead to massive discounting like those 1/2 off sales that the stores despise (or the brand owners despise because many stores sell on a consignment basis) because predicting colors a year ahead of time is not an exact science. So the brand owner like Victoria Secret and La (whatever the fuck it is) don't make a damn thing. The contract out everything to the same mills in China. It could be the exact same mill making that sexy lingerie. Those firms are merely marketing firms with brand names. ...Oh and BTW, when they say that they don't pollute or that they don't abuse child labor laws etc they are not talking about those mills. They are talking about their stores. They have no fucking idea what those mills do. They say to about 50 mills "Here's a pair of ladies underwear. I want it to at least not fall apart by the third time she runs it through the wash. Now who can make it the cheapest?" I'll take 100,000 in these colors. Orange does't sell. So that goes on sale.

Some of them buy their cotton in North America because it's better cotton. Yes, they can be made at the exact same plant. There will be different specs for sure and that is what I referred to "I want this" which is a certain denier thread count etc etc. so it can be a totally different quality.

Funny you should bring this up. When I mentioned that story to my colleagues over there they said "Yeah but he got the nitrogen up." He put Urea in the dog food which seized up dogs kidneys and killed the dog! Yeah but he boosted the protein content they could claim on the package by adding something that eventually killed the dog. Too many people think like that over there. It was an amazing response. Oh the Communist government took the guy out back and shot him.

Cotton field and communist aside I would like to promote my voice to the current no bra fashion. Why pay 100$ or more to cover those beautiful titties... Let them free and let us enjoy the view ;)

I think that the bra gives them some comfort. It helps some women with back problems. Not all women are firm and it helps them look fashionable. All kidding aside I think there are many well endowed ladies that couldn't live with out them. See the woman softball player who runs to first base and she looks like she is still running 30 seconds after she has stopped. LOL

Bras are expensive, with La Senza averaging from $30-$60 full price.
