I'm confused about your reference to rehabilitation. Who ever suggested that Jacques had rehabilitated? He was incarcerated, far too briefly, but incarceration rarely includes rehabilitation.
Call me judgemental, but I do not believe that pedophiles rehabilitate... Take Jeffrey Warren in 1995... He was incarcerated 6 TIMES then re- offended and got 4 years....

Upon his early release from prison, for good behavior, part of his probation was to undergo a state-sponsored rehabilitation program. Upon completion the presiding Judge praised Jacques as a success for the program, and promptly waived the rest of his probation.
Unfortunately, during his time on state-supervised probation and while he was going to rehab, he was also abusing a 9 year old girl.
BTW The girl he was abusing for 5 years was a different girl than Brooke Bennett.
Call it severe but I advocate for castration for convicted pedophiles. These men can never have a normal sex life with adults. They only get turned on by children.
