Hello all,

Here's something that might be helpful to those still looking for help on some reasonable assurances on better odds for a good encounters.

Who do you consider your more reliable reviewers for good advice on encounters?

Please, just positive information on who you trust. No negative talk about members.

This does not mean the members mentioned should be overwhelmed with private messages for help. This is meant to guide members toward reviewers who are considered more reliable to see their reviews.

So, who are your reliable reviewers.

For myself, there are those I have gotten to know, and understand how to interpret their reviews. So, I know how to value specific member's reviews and use the information to my benefit. But some of those I find most helpful are Cloudsurf, Passionate, Kronos, Protagoras, Hormone, Sapman, Hungry101, Lovemaker; and then there's Lion Heart who is off the board but still in contact with me.

As far as I'm concerned, reviews fall into four categories:
a) Over the top. "The girl is the most wonderful extraordinary fabulous creature I've ever met."
b) Generally positive.
c) She was OK, but we didn't click.
d) Negative. Either the girl didn't do her job or the agency misled me.

I'll write reviews in categories a, b or d. If a girl and I simply didn't click, I won't penalize her with a negative review.

As far as other reviewers, I ignore those who only write reviews in category A and there are far too many reviewers who fall into this class. As they only glow, I consider them unreliable.

One reviewer who writes well and writes objectively is Passionate. He gets strong marks for his willingness to be positive as well as negative. And he also gets kudos for bringing Sarah Bernard to our attention.

There are certainly others and, as I think of them, I'll add them to this list.

I enjoy the reviews/posts of Doc, SK, EB, Mg_ mtl, Cloudsurf, Merlot and others that i will add as they come to me. I have especially over the years enjoyed Doc's reviews and posts as we have a similar taste in woman and we agree on many things when it comes to the hobby. Sometimes with reviews it can just be a single review if i know the reviewer has tastes similar to mine or sometimes it takes a combination of reviews before i add her to my to meet list but like Doc if the reviewer is constantly giving over the top numbers like 9,9,9 after awhile you take the reviews with a grain of salt. I also agree that if the review is negative there is ways to write it in good taste and still make your point. Some of these ladies read the board and there is no need to get overly personal. One reviewer that i miss from the past is Lionheart. I always enjoyed reading his reviews and posts. There is also an ex poster who i get together with from time to time when i am in montreal that i used to really enjoy reading his posts as i see the hobby much the same way that he does.

JJ and Cruiser 777 have great taste. I love the way Merlot and Sap tell a story. Passionate has been helpful too.

A review and a reviewer are subjective.

I think a better subject would be what makes a good review. For one, being an honest reviewer is a good start. A reviewer needs to give the reader one impression - did he have a good time and would he repeat.

The important parts of the review are of course:

The girls looks - was she as good looking as the agency built her up to be? A good honest description by the reviewer goes a long way.
The girls service and interaction - what did she allow, what did she not allow and was she active? Or was she just passive laying still waiting for the reviewer to take charge of the action?
Where extra charges expected? - sometimes they want extra for specialities like CIM or Greek. Was that the case?
Was there any unusual circumstances or charming parts about the encounter, good or bad? Sometimes something happens that either embellishes the encounter or makes it painful. Take your descretion in telling it.
Would you repeat? This is usually the bottomline.

Embellishing reviews to gain favors from SP's is not a good practice. You can tell if a reviewer is honest by subsequent reviews by others. If those reviews are drastically different than the original person, then probably the original reviewer was not honest. Sometimes a lady gives her best with the first guy asking him to review her and then slacks off. That's always a possibility, but I doubt that happens too often.

I am not around lately as I am traveling overseas quite frequently. I can tell you the following:

Anywhere else (including some of the places listed above) - Smuler

Smuler passed on a contact from BA Argentina named Romero that showed me the time of my life. Romero runs tours for 50$ a night in BA. It is so worth it as I was riped off the first night in BA. I will post his contact info later in the "Other Cities" section of MERB.

There is another slant. Which Agency owner is most honest about a recommendation? I'ts been awhile but I believe that John of Eleganza has never tried to steer me to the girl that is not busy and he cannot rent out fo the night. He may be not a warm guy on the phone but his opinion seems to be honest.

Great idea! If you want to create a thread on this subject then why not do so. It's your prerogative to do it. But why do this here. Is it really necessary for anyone to change the direction here, when there is every freedom for anyone to bring up another subject where it can be rightly and fully focused on. I think it would be a great idea for you to create a thread on your subject, but move it into it's own place. How about it???

I’m fairly new to this board (and actually to being a hobbyist as well, after many years without seeing a SP), so I can’t say who is or is not reliable, but I agree with daydreamer’s criteria.

Reviews are quite subjective, even if you find several reviews that reinforce the same points. One of the most difficult aspects for me is how to rate chemistry. It’s just too personal. I had two girls who had good reviews, and still, I had no chemistry at all with one of them (even though she was quite professional). The other one I found not beautiful (for my taste), but I saw many people saying great things about her beauty (but her attitude was excellent, just like many people said). And I don’t write reviews of those as they both did a great job, and what didn’t work for me was something that is too personal and subjective.

So, for me, what has worked well, is when I see those long reviews, full of details, specially about the more intimate experiences, anything that helps to show the girl’s personality, eroticism, sense of humour, affection, things she likes or not, attitude, etc. Those help me much more in getting a good grasp on the possible chemistry than grades given in reviews.

Of my 3 favourite girls, 2 had great reviews very rich in details, and I had with those girls exactly what I was looking for. The third was pure luck, I didn’t even know Merb when I met her (she was my first SP after many years).

Like jmendes I'm also new to this whole thing. I'd say that hotdog and Bigboyeddie have been helpful and honest. I'm liable to give their reviews more weight than your average reviewer.

Can you please direct me towards some of these valuable reviews by Jeff Jones so I can at least try to understand why you would even dare to mention his name amongst the likes of Rumple, Merlot and Special K who have been generously providing our community with reviews for a decade now. I have yet to come across any of his "highly acclaimed" reviews, and since you vouched for him I am sure you can direct us to them. Just because he agrees with you in every thread doesn't make him a great and reliable reviewer lol

This site has tons of reliable reviewers; Rumple, Bigboyeddie, RickyBonds, SergeJean( rising star), Delta123(rising star), Merlot, Hungry101, and many others. These men will not hesitate to tell you the truth.

LOL! Ok, even though I'm almost like a rookie here, and therefore I don't find myself reliable enough to say who is or who is not reliable, I'll give you some names

Those 4 had reviews about two of my favourites, and I totally agree with those reviews. Plus, the level of details made me feel more confortable, and in fact I got what I wished for.:thumb:

You have a point. Maybe i got him mixed up with James Joyce. Who knows. Or, maybe i forgot he may have sent me a b/c review. Or, maybe i mixed up posts he made in the past in regards to several ladies with non-reviews he made. JJ, haven't you ever reviewed anyone? Or am i mixing up JJ & your previous handle?

I had reviewed a few ladies with my previous handle, all my posts with my previous handle were removed(my choice) I have commented on ladies on the board and thru pm with you and many others such as Lee Stone and Lion heart. Thru the exchanges we had, our taste in ladies seemed to be similar. I have never claimed to be someone who reviewed a lot. When i have made comments on ladies i have gotten quite a few pm's and i would pass on what info i could to those who asked. I am here mainly for entertainment and to pass time if i help a few people along the way so be it.

No. I don't recall who does a review or whether a person is a good reviewer. I judge each review by itself. I pay attention to subsequent reviews on the same SP. So I can't answer the question who is a reliable reviewer, and who is not. Besides, naming reliable reviewers on here may end up like who you voted for 5th grade Student body president. People will vote for who they like here, and for no other reason. I tend not like long winded reviews. That's just me.

I usually discard a review that is too negative or too positive.

If a reviewer totally blasts the ladies he reviews and gets horrible service, there is usually a reason for that, specially if the ladies in question got decent reviews before. Same goes for glowing reviews from guys who give all 10's or fall "in love" with every girl they see. And this last type of review doesn't necessarly come from first time reviewers...

When you've been here for a while it actually gets pretty easy to distinguish the reliable reviewers from the other ones I mentionned before. Plus there is also a question of taste. You get to know who has the same tastes as you and you rely more on their reviews vs. other ones who might have different tastes in women.

The review I'm refering to is the one Banger wrote about Samantha (currently at xxxtase) in 2008. From what I saw in the most recent posts there, his review was about the same girl I had (and my impressions on her were very much alike his).
