Review Incentives

Has anyone had any luck with getting ``extras`` from SPs (tc or greek) in exchange for better reviews on this board. I have heard from a few SPs that is is a common request among the more frequent merb posters.

Any comments are appreciated as to whether this works!!

Err, the point is not to use one`s board handle to leverage for `extras` since that would be doing a disservice to those of us who post honest reviews.

Not to mention, a MAJOR disservice to the women who would get intimidated (because face it, that's what the result would be, if anything) into doing something that they're not comfortable with. Is that really what you would enjoy?

To elaborate on Donbush's point, if you did get extra mileage because you offered a positive review in exchange, and accordingly posted such a review, then that service would not be representative of that SPs normal offering and you would be misleading the rest of the hobbying community.

I've never informed an SP that I was a MERB or TERB poster, although I was once offered such an exchange by a Toronto SP seeking to get exposure on the Montreal scene.

I actually discussed this issue with a couple of SP's a while back and they told me a very "famous" poster from the past (doesn't post much anymore) was burned because he tried to get more or at least because he acted as if he deserved more because he was a hot shot poster on Canbest and then BigDoggie.

These girls talked to each other and they all hated his gutts, but couldn't really tell him in his face 'cause they didn't want to get a bad review. But then it got too far and some girls didn't want to see him anymore. What goes around comes around...

Personnally, when I see a girl, they don't know who I am or what I do or where I found them and I don't mention any boards.

I was asked once to give a discount in exchange, I refused. I want honest reviews. If I had agreed, then I would never have known if the review was honest and he really happy with me.
