Allman didn't impact my life the way Chris Cornell of Soundgarden did but it's always a shame when a music icon moves on. We've been losing the great ones and yet somehow boy band members somehow live forever. There is no God.

Haha I know that. But Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Layne Staley and Kurt Cobain were all young. Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, John Lennon, Prince and Chris Cornell were relatively young. It seems to me that there's a positive correlation of musical talent and tragedy. Supporting my premise on talent and tragedy: all the guys in New Kids On The Block are still alive :nono:. (I know there are plenty talented musicians still alive. I'm just taking the piss).

Allman had a tough liver although ultimately it deteriorated on him. The Iron Man Liver award goes to Keith Richards. He lives in Connecticut and various friends of mine have seen him in local bars, drinking straight hard liquors. They say he looks like a cadaver. However his liver has taken a pounding and keeps on ticking. He might live to be 100
