Around the corner
The Russians have no scruples.
It is not the Russian people. We should not mistake the two.
It is Putin and his collective of power hungry lunatics.
I have been to Russia quite a few times, the ordinary person wants the same as we all do, a better life and future for their children and a life of peace and freedom.

They are very very nervous.....we easily understand....same for the baltic countries..beaucoup de militaires et d'armement sont déjà déployées dans ces zones à haut risque.

Do you think the people of Ukraine should be just sacrificed so that all of Europe can keep sitting on their couches like North America, and if so who is next.
Its always a very cruel reality in any conflicts, the citizens are the ones who pays and suffers the most. Ask Irakis, afganistans, syrians, lybians, yemenites, palestinians etc. But, in my understanding, its more about choosing the least catastrophic of scenarios. Accepting casualties and destruction in a restricted area, pushing hard on diplomatic negociations hoping to get a cease fire asap.
Lets not our emotions blur our judgement here, so far the russian army has clearly hold its horses. Them too, are wishing for a way out that will avoid hundreds of thousands of death(if not millions, as the situation can degenerate in a NATO-Russia major war). But for sure Putin will want to avoid losing face in front of russians and make it look like they won something. That wont be easy, nobody knows exactly what he is ready to accept.

Anyway, if this goes down and degenerate into a WW nobody knows what the issue might be. For the 1st time in history, many countries has sufficient nuclear strenght to destroy the entire world. Anything can happen.

You guys are thinking in terms of previous wars. I am afraid in case of WWIII we might not see a single Russian or Chinese. Instead, most of the town folks will see a brilliant white flash and some nothing as they will be vaporized before the image reaches the brain.

If putin is not suicidal then with his billions he has already built a huge luxury bomb shelter to house him and his entourage for years after a nuclear war.

Now Russia has bombed a Ukraine training center that is situated 20 miles from the Polish border. They did it with missiles fired by jets deep inside Russia. What if some would have landed in Poland ? Any mistake could set off a huge retaliation and escalation of the conflict.
IMHO, even if some of their missiles had landed by mistake in Poland, Nato would not have intervened military. Yes, official diplomatic outburst of indignation, but nothing like a real military strike. The last thing Nato wants, is to be drawn directly into the conflict.

This is weirder than weird. Elon Musk has challenged putin to a fight to the death with the winner taking Ukraine.
Some of these super wealthy nut jobs are so bored that they have to start a war or make ass holes of themselves on social media on an almost daily basis.

If I were Musk I would check my tea twice for a couple of years.
