I have 2 jobs sometimes it's hard but make $$$$ i past news paper early morning and i have my day job
Bartender on Crescent Street. Good tips from tourists from now to the end of summer, meet a lot of people, stay busy, work late hours, enjoy a party atmosphere. This reminds me that I met a really cute little Anglo spinner bartender about 19 yo at an east end bar. I asked her why she wasn't a hostess at one of the high end restaurants or a bartender on Crescent Street. She said to me, "I am not experienced or mature enough for that yet."
The only qualifications are that you be 18 yo and know how to mix drinks. Minimal training, high potential reward. I would put in applications at Winnies, Weinstein and Gavino, Newtown, Hurley's and Dundees. The Irish Embassy on Bishop is another good spot.
Only knuckleheads who need to break their backs lifting anvil-like packages onto trucks would select UPS driver over bartender. I am an attorney and cannot begin to tell you all the personal injury cases I have seen with UPS drivers -- dogbites also. UPS even has a special protocol on what to do when you encounter a dog and this one guy followed the special protocol and got bit 3 times on his ass. They were really hard bites that left permanent red marks. Do you want your ass bitten or surgery for a herniated disc in your back?
You will not get bitten or herniate a disc mixing drinks behind a bar. Heaviest thing you will lift is a bottle of whiskey.
