Hey there! I've had some trouble just getting a reply from advertisers from various sites. I'm not a big fan of calling cause there's people around me most of the time so I usually text providers for inquiries and booking but to no avail 90% of the time.... I mean I do focus on those saying text or call but yet no reply. So I'm wondering, is there some code or secret way to introduce yourself to providers? I just try to be polite and/or friendly like I'd be to others. Cheers!

Hi Julio,
give them some time to reply, they are not waiting after us and they have a life outside this business.
be polite and introduce youself nicely and it should do the trick, it does for me.

could also be the number you're texting from. Many providers screen their calls using a 3rd party app and if you're texting from a disposable app (like textme) that might be why

Mmm ya that number thing could be an issue. My number is a port from a VoIP service which caused trouble registering it with apps (whatsapp, telegram, etc) so if they somehow detect this, it could explain it. For example XO did reply with a "call or text from an nonapp to book" msg. Could simply be a standard reply or a clue to the issue!
One did also tell me I was rude. Really I was just 'neutral', not knowing how to approach them, but being more human afterwards did produce some result with the few that did reply :)

In general ...

- apps are often refused
- if you wouldn't say it face to face, don't write it

If you got a response that you seemed rude, chances are you weren't following the second point
