I really wish the Brazilian wax would come back in fashion. I find it superior to the bald look popularized by porno. The Zen balance between hairy bush and completely bald.

I'm confused by this post. "Brazilian" *does* refer to the completely bald look.

Are you speaking of a landing strip? This is what I have and I never heard it being called a brazilian, in fact I've always seen "brazilian" used to refer to completely hairless. I've heard "french wax" though to describe some amount of hair (like a landing strip of varying thickness)

Julia, in the UK, a Brazilian wax is an intimate hair removal treatment that removes all pubic hair from the front, labia, perineum, and backside. The key feature that distinguishes it is that it leaves a small, neat strip or triangle of hair on the front (often called a "landing strip" in the UK)

Forgive her, I don't think she realized she was posting on GBERB.

A Canadian "Brazilian" means taking absolutely everything off by default, whereas a UK "Brazilian" leaves a small patch of hair upfront. A brazilian in Canada is equivalent to what you'd call a Hollywood in the UK. If you want to go completely bare in Canada, you book a Brazilian.

Hence my confusion! I thought we were in Canada. Lol

Yep, the "landing strip" is what occurs to me when I hear "Brazilian wax". I believed it to be its defining feature but it seems there are different levels of wax.
